"15 yrs ago Ophelia was a rescued kitten in colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. She lived the prime of her life running around our local suburbs of Northern Virginia, and duking it out with her various brother and sister kitties at our house. In 2017 she retired to Northern Colorado and spent her best years with Robin and Betsy, despite becoming (mainly!) an indoor kitty. Missing her antics and affection!"

"Rayne, thank you for teaching us the true meaning of puppy dog love. You earned the name Mama because you were there for each one of us when we were sick, hurt, sad or happy. I don't know where your Dad Kota got 'Kitty' from but you loved the nickname. You should have been an FBI agent with your vast skill of finding Aubrie when she moved without telling you. Our heart will always cherish your memories of yelling "out" then telling on Aubrie for not getting you a treat, your loud snoring you mimicked from Kota and those furocious
sneezes. The hardest decision was to set you free.

To our wonderful community and supporters:

We wanted to update you and let you know that Dr. Lisa will soon be moving out of state and will be entrusting Western Skies End-of-Life Veterinary Care to Dr. Emilea Burton. Dr. Lisa started Western Skies in 2019 when she realized there was a need in the community for additional in home euthanasia services. She built Western Skies from the ground up and has provided care and compassion to many pets and their families. Dr. Emilea joined Western Skies in October of 2023 and brought a wealth of end of life care experience and education to the table. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue Lisa’s important work in the community and maintain the level of excellence and compassion that Western Skies is known for. Dr. Lisa has worked as a mixed animal veterinarian in Cheyenne, Wyoming for the past 4 ½ years before leaving to start Western Skies.
