Vinny (M) is the closest thing a kitten can be to a human baby. Vinny seemed to have some gas when he was younger similar to a human baby having colic, and the only way to soothe him was to hold him and do the jiggle or give him butt pats. Vinny still likes to be the center of attention and will ask to be held when he feels he should be. Vinny has some of the softest fur his foster mom has ever felt. Vinny enjoys playing with his foster siblings on his own terms. Vinny does well with dogs, cats, people, and other kittens. Vinny would likely do best in a home with another young cat or kitten to keep him company. Vinny is 8 weeks old.

Milo (M) gives orange cat vibes like the best of them. He can frequently be found staring off into space or stumbling over his own two feet. But everything he does is just plain CUTE. Milo loves attention and knows how to make you want to give him cuddles. Milo enjoys a good nap on the cat tree or wrestling match with his foster brothers. Milo does well with dogs, cats, people, and other kittens. Milo would likely prefer a quieter home, but does well with all of the commotion in his foster home. Milo is 9 weeks old.

Levi (M) is full of energy and love. Levi enjoys being held or perching on his people’s shoulders. Levi can frequently be caught running laps around the house and rough housing with his siblings. Levi is fearless and enjoys the company of dogs, cats, kittens, and people alike. As cuddly and affectionate as Levi is, he would do best in a home with another kitten to match his energy. Levi is 11 weeks old.

Mr Pibb (M) may be named after a spicy soda, but this boy is anything but! This charming boy is the only boy out of his look-a-like sisters, but he doesn’t mind. He’s loving and sweet, and he enjoys cuddles with humans and other cats alike. He enjoys being a mister because it makes him feel fancy, or maybe he just enjoys love. His favorite playtime involves interactive play with wand toys. Mr Pibb does well with kids and other animals, and he would do best in a home with another young cat or kitten. Mr Pibb is a sweetheart that can’t wait to meet you! Mr Pibb is 13 weeks old.

Dr Pepper (F) may not have a doctorate degree, but she sure acts like the caring doctor you’ve always needed to cure your ailments. She is super cuddly and sweet, and her soothing purr is sure to calm your troubles. She can be found lounging on a bed or fuzzy blanket when she’s not on a lap, unless of course it’s play time. Her favorite toy is a plastic cat spring that she carries around in her mouth. Dr Pepper does well with kids and other animals, and would do best in a home with another young cat. This sophisticated girl is sure to make a wonderful addition to your home! Dr Pepper is 13 weeks old.

Louise (F) - Sweet, cuddly, and always ready to welcome you home, Louise is the little lovebug you’ve been searching for! Small but mighty, she’s the first to greet you and loves to snuggle up whenever she can. With her tough but affectionate nature, Louise is ready to be your best friend for life. Louise is 16 weeks old.

Aventurine (M) is a roly-poly, laissez-faire go-getter who loves to chase his foster sisters and wrestle with his mom. He loves getting smooched on his nose, and after playtime will happily curl up at the foot of the bed, or on your actual foot. He's a spunky and sweet little lad that has my personal guarantee to provide you with lots of love, joy and fun! He is 12 weeks old.

Meet Virginia (F) - If you have ever seen a more beautiful pair of big orange eyes, I'd ask you to prove it. Go ahead, I'll wait. This wonderful mom had given everything she had to her kittens, and when they arrived at my home she was quite literally skin and bones. As you can see, she's worked really hard to reach a healthy weight again, and although she loves her kids, she's very much ready to find a place of her own to relax. She deserves it, don't you agree?

Philippa and Merryweather (F)

Philippa and Merryweather have become such good friends that we would love to see them adopted together!

Sweet Philippa will jump in your lap and purr loudly as she cuddles up. This girl is beautiful AND a very swift and talented “soccer” player, batting toys around a room. She has grown up with kitten friends, kind adults, and numerous neighborhood children. She will be a special and fun addition to any home! She is 22 weeks old.

Merryweather has watched her more exotic-looking sisters find their new homes while she returns, week after week, to her foster home. But she is not discouraged! She knows this is just a matter of educating the humans, and so she has a few facts about tabby cats that she would like to convey:

Tabby cats are known for being sweet and loving, and they enjoy cuddling with their families. Check!

Tabbies are social animals that enjoy being the center of attention. Check!

Tabbies are often considered to be smart and can learn tricks and commands. Double check!

Tabbies can be sensitive and empathetic, and they can pick up on their owner's emotions. All the checks!

Merryweather does well with other cats, kids, and dogs, and could do well in any loving environment.

Galena (F) - Momma Galena is SO pretty, and she's sweet and loving too. From lightly traumatized teen mom who took in a foster baby alongside her own kitten while coping with a nasty foot wound, to an affectionate head-butting, lap-sitting Queen, it's been an impressive transformation. Like most adult cats, Galena is cautious around new people, but warms up quickly and loves to play just as much as her babies - after all, she's really just a baby too. I think she'd do best in a calmer home with primarily chill male cats, but as long as she gets loved on regularly she'll be happy almost anywhere. Galena doesn't like to come to our adoption events because the barking dogs are very scary, but you can see her in her foster home!

Liesl (F) - Liesl is a sweet, one-of-a-kind marbled ginger with quite a personality. This girl was adopted and returned to IBKR due to owners that wanted to be "pet free" again. Liesl is such a joy to be around and makes sure that everyone around her feels loved. She is part cat and part dog and enjoys lounging in the bay window watching the tantalizing birds fly by while accepting chin scratches and belly rubs. Liesl is sure to let you know when you get the right spot as she drools just like our labs. She prefers to have kitten friends or female adult cats. Male cats tend to annoy her and she will hide from them. Liesl has been raised in a home with cats, children of all ages, and 2 labs. Liesl kindly asks that she not have dog siblings as they are quite scary to her and interrupt her sunbathing with those loud sounds they make. Liesl has cleared her schedule and is open to meet and greets ASAP.

Note: Months ago, Liesl met a family that she adored. She was so happy when she was with them that she rolled on her back for belly rubs and crawled into their laps. They said they would come for her in a few weeks...but they never did. Liesl wants so badly to be someone's favorite, someone's Big Love. Could it be you?

Happy National Cat Day! 😻

For today’s day of all-things cat, I wanted to highlight what we do here at IBKR (and why we need you)!

At IBKR, we take in kittens under 6 weeks of age and care for them until they are ready to be adopted. This often includes bottle feeding orphans or coparenting with mama cats. While we’re raising them, we make sure to give them all the medical care they need, such as any medicines required, their age-appropriate vaccines, their spay or neuter surgery, and more.

But, let’s celebrate National Cat Day by sharing a success story! Zero (formerly Bingo) was brought into IBKR when she was only one day old as an orphan. Thanks to one of our fosters, she got all the care she needed for her to grow into a strong, healthy adult. Her foster fell in love and so she is now a permanent member of his family.

Zero is one of hundreds of happy stories we have at IBKR. But we can’t do it without our amazing fosters!! And we are always in need of more, because kitten rescue is never ending. Whether you can take the tiniest bottle babies like Zero, moms with babies, or older kittens after they’re weaned, we need YOU! Got any questions? We’re happy to answer them!

Playtime for Jess and Mama Cass ❤️

Jess and Mama Cass are quite the pair! Mama came to us with three kittens of her own who were soon adopted. She was very nervous about people but with time and patience she is now climbing into my lap and regularly asking for pets! It has been so satisfying to see her come out of her shell! Jess adores her, and they play together like this all the time. Mama likes to make sure he gets regular baths too, which Jess definitely has opinions about! These two would make the perfect instant kitty family! They are so bonded and clearly love each other. Can you adopt two wonderful cats? Can you make room in your family and your heart for Jess (an absolute love bug) and Cass (loving mama who wants so badly to be loved herself)? If so, Jess and Cass are ready to meet you!

Alex and Mama Fig spent some time cleaning (and trying to play, if you're Alex) in the sun 🥰☀️ With three of her four babies already adopted, Mama Fig has been giving little miss Alex some extra grooming sessions and it's pretty adorable
