With Hurricane Milton on the way, we could all use a little Sunshine!☀️ Meet Sunshine and her brand new baby, born just yesterday💕 They’re among the 400 evacuated horses finding shelter at the Florida State Fairgrounds’ Bob Thomas Equestrian Center.

Our hearts are with everyone in the storm’s path—stay safe, friends!

🚨Hurricane Milton Stall Reservations Full🚨
We have reached maximum capacity and are no longer accepting any new stall reservations for those in the path of Hurricane Milton.

Horses with approved reservations must check in by 7pm today (10/7) or between 8am and 12pm tomorrow (10/8).

Please remember that our facilities are not hurricane-rated, and the Fairgrounds are currently in the projected path of the storm. If your reservation has been confirmed, please exercise caution and understand that you assume full responsibility for any damages. The Florida State Fair Authority assumes no liability for damages related to hurricane prestaging, during the storm, or post-storm.

The Florida State Fairgrounds will open the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center on a first come first serve basis for those that are in the direct path of Hurricane Milton. The online reservation form link is on our website under Equestrian and is available on a first come first serve basis for those in flood zones. Please know that the Florida State Fairgrounds is currently in the direct path of Hurricane Milton also and our facilities are not hurricane rated; therefore, you are bringing your horses & trailer at your own risk and are taking full responsibility and of damages if you decide to proceed. The Florida State Fair Authority will assume no liability for any damages related to hurricane prestaging, during storm, or post staging of your horses and or property. Please do not show up, unless your online reservation has been confirmed by a member of the equestrian team by phone or in writing.

‼️Show Cancelled‼️

Due to deteriorating forecasts and for the safety of all our Central Florida equestrians and show family, we have made the decision to cancel our CFHJA September Show. We will miss you all this week, but hope you remain safe through this incoming storm and that we'll all be able to look forward to a great show and better weather for November and December. Please be well and safe!
