Birdie is a sweet young dog, who we got when she was about 4 months old. Her history before that is not well-known, but she came to us with anxiety. She has always been nervous around men, and while we have tried to help her work through this, it is becoming an issue to have her in our home with my husband and young children. She would do wonderfully in a household of females or a single female. Walks well on a leash, loves other dogs, likes to play with toys & is kennel trained (& house trained!) Spayed & is current on all vaccines. $100 rehoming fee.

🐾😍 Update on Sitka!!

First- I want to thank everyone who donated toward Sitka's FHO surgery. With all the donations his bill will be 100% covered.

Second-Sitka is doing well and recovering from his surgery. All went well and he will be going home tomorrow. If you are interested before and after X-ray are below.

Sitka is expected to make a full recovery and have no problems moving forward. He is with some wonderful foster who will take wonderful care of him. Sitka is a really sweet boy and deserves the best.😘

A Huge thank you to those who donated $$$ to purchase all these dog beds. And a HUGE thank you to Ann Marie and Jan Barrett who drove to Pueblo and picked up the 4,000 of food and pick up the dog beds. It's will all go to great use.

Ann Marie was able to distribute 1,000lbs here locally to the Aspen Springs community and 3,000 lbs to Dulce.

Puppies, Puppies, And more Puppies! While down in Dulce for the food drive we rangled up some adorable puppies. 8 Aussie cattle dog mixes, still have one more to catch. About 5 weeks old. Living under a shed. They have full bellies now and are warm. Live is good!!🐾🤗💓🐕

While you are at home curled up in front of the fire watching football, RRH is down here in Dulce handing out free dog food. 3,000 lbs in fact. Thanks to , Great Good Charities, Nutrish by Rachel Ray and some amazing volunteers we handed out the 3,000lbs in 30 mins. The Dulce Community is showing up and taking advantage of these great opportunities. We will be back with more soon!! Stay tuned. Thank you Jicarilla Apache Animal Control for helping organize this.

🙏🙏🙏 Sweet Sitka needs your help!!! We had noticed he has been limping off and on over the last few weeks (he has been hiding it well)and decided to bring him into the vet for X-rays. Well it's what we suspected, he needs surgery to fix his hip. We believe it could've been an injury at a very young age that did not heal well along with the displasia. With a discount we are looking at $1500.00 to $1750.00 for the FHO surgery. Surgeries like this are obviously unexpected and not budgeted for so we as asking for donations.

If you are able to help sweet Sitka you can make a donation through Venmo -Brown-Wilson or through our website PayPal button rugbysrescue.com. we also accept checks or cash.

We try to give all of our rescues the best possible care and everything they need while they are in our care. Sitka is a great dog and is expected to make a full recovery with a good prognosis and wonderful full life ahead. With surgery this will not hender his ability to have many years of adventures ahead.

Meet Uncle Fester, Wednesday and Gomez 😁 this litter came home from Dulce with us last weekend. Pitty mixes, 11 ish weeks old. 2 males one female, super sweet, friendly and playful. All are vaccinated, spayed and neutered, chipped. They are ready to meet you!! 😜

❤️😞This has been a rough last few days for this litter. We brought home a litter of 7 puppies from Dulce. The mom was under weight and older (really should not be having babies), she had no milk production. We offer to take in the puppies to give them a fighting chance of survival. Sadly as the week went on we started to lose some of the babies. 5 of the 7 are now gone, but the last 2 are doing pretty well. This is the heart breaking side of rescue. You want to save everyone and promise them everything but sometimes God has another plan. At least their last days they were warm and loved. I want to thank Ann Marie for all the love and excellent care she has been giving them. I know it's hard to lose them first hand 😭 🌈

Della Mae! The cutest hound dog around.❤️ Della Mae is approx 4-5 years old., sweet girl looking for her forever home. She came to us after living on the streets emaciated and looking so sad. She has been thriving at her foster home while recovering from her spay and mammary tumor surgery. She is all healed and ready to explore her new life. She plays well with others and great on a leash. She would love a home with a yard, someone to snuggle with and adventures in her future. Sergio ❤️ this little dude will steal you heart in about 2 seconds. He is a bundle of joy, a total ham. Ready to explore and make new friends. Sergio is very friendly, approximately 2-3 years old, neutered, vaccinated, chipped and ready to snuggle. His dad passed away and had no where else to go. Took him about 2 days to settle in and now he is showing us his full funny personality. Sergio will make anyone a great companion. Message me if you'd like to meet Sergio!!

Meet Maizey! (name because she amazing)This beautiful Pitty is believed to be momma to Marble and a younger litter we brought home from Dulce last weekend. She been around to block but her trips are over. She is retired from mom life and on to better things. This bundle of joy is approximately 2-3 years old, spayed vaccinated and chipped. She is very friendly and loves to cuddle. ❤️ She is short and stout and pretty as can been. If you'd like to meet Maizey please message me for a meet and greet, we are also looking for a foster home for her to thrive.
