The red male…can’t get over how cute these guys are (never can!). They have all doubled or tripled weight in just 1 week! They will be looking for their hunting partners in about 7 weeks! Extremely motivated to get them into working type homes. If they are anything like their parents they should be fantastic family friendly, working dogs.

Not much is cuter then a puppy pile! They are growing fast. Have almost all doubled in weight in 3 days.

Excited to announce. Boone and Belle have their first litter. 4 blue females and 1 red male. Will be available to working homes. Should be excellent working dogs!

Both have been approved as breeding quality within the NLDR. Both are from working parents and have shown excellent drive in tracking and retrieving. Boone is also very cowy. Here are some videos I made of clips over the last few years.

Playing around with video making software. This is what I came up with for Boone! Belle will be up next.

If you don’t like hunting do NOT watch. Considering the breeds history though I feel it’s suitable.

Sorry in advance for the poor quality tracking videos. Hard for me to hold him in one hand and video with the other. And off leash he’s way too fast to keep up with LOL.

Not much body fat on this dog….and no he is not too skinny.

Boone learning to stay even when he sees something to chase. In this case it was a herd of elk.

Boone has a pretty good long jump.

Good way to end the season. Bow shot doe. Only about 125 yards. Took Boone mere moments. We gave Belle a shot after he found it. It was her first track at only 4 months. Had to restart her a couple of times but she soon found it and showed lots of potential.

Since I’m currently only tracking for family most of my tracks are opportune. Another good shot that did not require tracking. For more practice, we again drug the deer. This time a good 200 yards. It was a spine shot so minimal bleeding. Took Boone a bit to get started but once started he had no trouble.

Boone did me proud on this track. Third straight track with zero blood. I was guiding my cousin and he shot a doe through a small window. I knew he’d hit her. Took Boone a few minutes to get started but than he led us down the hill and along the fence line where approximately 200 yards later we came upon the doe bedded down. First time finding the quarry still alive at the end. I track on leash due to property lines. So it was easy to get another shot on her without getting too close and spooking her. This was Boones first exposure to gunfire, especially that close. He did great though. I love watching him work these tracks where I’m forced to trust him and let him do his thing.

Boones first pig and fourth track. My cousin shot this sow and it took off. Once we arrived at the hit site we could not find a drip of blood. We tried for 10-15 minutes to even find a starting point. Unfortunately we could not find a sign of a hit. So o decided to let Boone do his thing. He consistently took me to the same spot. He wanted to cross the property line. So after getting permission we continued. Sure enough 75 yards from our hypothetical hit site we found blood. Boone lead us right to this sow another 100 yards further through some super thick brush. Definitely wouldn’t have found it without Boone and would have assumed a clean miss.

This was a fun one. I was guiding my brother in law. Finally got a chance at this doe. I was unable to tell for sure on where he hit her. Not a drip of blood to be seen. But Boone still picked up the trail easily. In fact he did find a single drip about 100 yards from hit. He led us straight to her another 50 yards.

My male, Boone, overlooking his domain. Boone is almost 18 months old. He had a successful first tracking season finding 8-9 animals. The one he did not find was believed to be missed.
