I have made the difficult decision to retire from dog grooming. It’s been an interesting adventure for 28 years. I have learned a lot over the years.

Today’s doctors appointment reinforced my decision. The universe is telling me something and I need to listen.

I’m having surgery on March 31st and will be focusing on my recovery. I’ve been blessed to be able to do something I’ve loved for so long.

We shall see what happens with the next novel in the library of life. 📚

Just to clarify, there is NO such thing as a “ puppy cut.”

Most groomers do NOT like this made up phrase. It means different things to dog owners and groomers of how you want your dog to look.

Please do NOT shave down your double coated dog. The hair is there for a reason.

You don’t take the insulation out of the attic of your house in the summer because it helps keep the heat out. Same concept with the double coated dog.

The dog will also still shed, he/she will just be shedding shorter hair. Shaving will damage the coat!!!

All the other reasons are true as well.

Meet Lady & Lucky. 3 month old poodle puppies.

1st groom ever! They had A LOT of breaks in teaching them how to be groomed. Puppy grooming is not something to be rushed through.
