This was so fun to teach. This behavior/task was taught with Back-Chaining. A method of "chaining together" several different tasks. Teaching each step separately starting with the last behavior, then next to last and so on. This has the final behavior in the task as the most rewarded one. The idea is each task that follows one is the reward, that leads up to the final jackpotted reward. It can create and eagerness in your dog, less frustration.

Back chaining individual behaviors and putting them all together, with a new CUE.And you can teach your dog to bring you a drink.

I did not place the hides. My leash handling has gotten a ton better. And we no longer "toss" cookies. Our start line is better too. But on the first run through, did you see him catch "odor". Look at his deliberate look back at me like "hurry up". His "alert cue" is to stand frozen with nose on odor. Look how he goes back to the same spot on the next run through, this is a normal behavior in the beginning. Yes, my "search" word is "GOOGLE". WooHoo can't wait to do this with the other poodle. Although Frosty likes to move, not go slow.

So we seem to both be back in the game. He is on point.

Love the support I've been getting from everyone. It's been hard, with losing my Heart Dog Titan. But We're getting there. Already have a few clients lined up. Remember I am also an AKC Evaluator, so if you are looking for some titles for your dog. I can help with CGC, Trick Dog, ETC. we can even do those walks needed to aide in earning that Fit Dog Title. Here's to warmer weather for those. We also may have an actual physical location, that I can offer my group classes. So, fingers crossed that works in our favor as well.

It's been awhile. But we've decided to start taking on new clients again. We are currently not offering sessions at my location as before. We are doing in person at your home, and virtual and they hybrid mix of both. Stay tuned for more exciting opportunities.
