Alligator rescues come in all year around here. This gal was being kept illegally and came in pretty banged up even for an alligator.

All rescues get intake exams which can include X-rays to check for fractures, bone density, past trauma, etc. we are thankful to have a veterinarian who is always ready to help lend a hand whether it’s a baby monkey or a 10ft alligator.

Giving Tuesday is right around the corner and we hope you will consider us if you can.

With the expansion, moving, the economy on stand still, we need your help to continue.

The reality is saving animals is expensive. Only offering ethical encounters vs forcing animals to do encounter after encounter is expensive. Food, medical, enclosures, enrichment, permits, insurance, are expensive.

We’re so grateful for Caitlin and her homegrown squash! 💜 Did you know you can feed our capybaras during a tour, just like Caitlin?

Caitlin wears many hats as our volunteer grant writer, event planner, and marketing extraordinaire. She loves the capys so much that she even brings fresh snacks from her garden to help with their care!

Welcome to the world little one ❤️ Our amazing owl monkey pair, Tito and Jane, welcomed a baby on Halloween. This has been a 3 year joint project for our facility.
Owl monkeys, also known as night monkeys, are a small nocturnal primate found throughout South America. They are threatened by habitat loss, the pet trade, hunting for bushmeat, and by biomedical research. They are called owl monkeys for their big eyes and owl like markings. Dads are PHENOMENAL in this species and do most of the care for grooming and carrying. We are lucky enough to be able to ”borrow” the baby from the parents for a *quick weigh and exam daily to make sure they are developing on schedule.

We are EXCITED to introduce the new opportunities for animal programs at our facility. If your interest lean more into reptiles or some of our other animals you can now book a program at our welcome center to meet our ambassadors. It’s more cost effective and fun for the whole family! Perfect for home school groups, scouts, etc. limited availability.

$250 for 1-5 guests, $50 per additional person - 30-45 mins - max of 15 total guests

Reptile lovers - various hands on reptiles
Croc talk! - alligators, crocodiles, and caimans oh my!
Rainforest Discovery- meet a caiman, armadillo, tegu, and millipedes

School programs today! We offer programs that can come to your location for those interested in a fun and educational activity for all ages. We have many programs with different animals that are perfect for schools, parties, and events. Proceeds from these programs allow us to continue our rescue efforts.

We have been asked for years to do a per person rate so we are going to try it out as we need to raise funds for a porcupine exhibit! This tour is a per person rate vs a private tour so you will get grouped with other people up to 10 people.

*ONLY* available this Saturday November 16 @ 11 am & 3 pm.

11 AM tour- kangaroos & capy encounter for $110 per person. Ages 5+

3PM tour - Capybaras & sloth house $160 per person. Ages 5+

Who is ready for night tours?! This nocturnal sloth experience will begin at 7pm and will be a per person rate of $125. This is *not* a private tour so you might get grouped with others up to 10 people. 15+ (underage must be accompanied by a legal guardian)
*Private all age night tours are available on other dates.
