Nature shows us how amazing it is with chameleons changing color. Chameleon change color? Yes they really do but not how you may think. Chameleons do not change color to blend in with their environment but panther chameleons change color based off mood and the environment weather it’s dry and hot or wet and cold. Chameleons also change color throughout their life, starting off turd brown, then slowly gaining color into adulthood which is roughly 12-18 months for a male and 9-12 months for a female where they tap into their full color and personality potential. We work with all panther Cham locals (the actual location Madagascar they are specifically native to, which usually has a certain look from that disconnected region of wild land) Ambanja, Ambilobe, Nosy Be, Nosy Mitsio, Ankify, etc.

We had re-homed a very special chameleon who needed some extra love and time with a very special home over with @i_was_saying_b00_urns He was very long awaited for and he grew on both Em and I in this process. He was and is very important to us to say the least. He is about 8months old so his size and age definitely helped him in his unexpected travel for sure!
I had heard before that shipping on a Thursday could be risky but after seeing others do it successfully I too began to do this. I have never had a delay until now shipping on a Thursday but this was only my 4th time In doing so. This guy was in this box Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night!! 4 whole nights!!! We were also blessed with very decent weather but it was getting cold at night, mid 40s and mid 50s were the night time low’s and I only packed him with a 40hr heat pack.
When one of these packages get delayed into the weekend you cannot pick them up until Monday, with Thursday being so close to the weekend this is risky!
Reptiles2you kept us very in the loop and reassured with actual details of where the package was and was actually going at all times which really honestly gave us a lot of hope for him.
I wonder if being in this dark box for so long triggered him to go into some kind of brumation and helped him get through this journey. Anyway, this little dude is a fighter and though this was an unfortunate event, it was a learning experience and we are so so so happy he made it alive!!!

My absolute favorite look on ambanja! I was sad to see this guy go especially during the last couple weeks when I knew his days here were numbered and I was going to have to send him to his new home, I was doing my best to not get attached. But it was all worth it to see @amateur_oasis show him all the love and plants he could wish for. I know he went to a really good home, and again I cannot Thank you enough for the content @amateur_oasis it really means a lot! Godspeed Shino!
