Pasific Santa Cruz Veterinar Service terrible money hungry service the only thing good about them is they are open 24 hr but they make you pay big. I brought my dog there after my dogs leg all of a sudden swelled up. I had to go there because my vet went on a vacation There was a pocket of puss on the inside of the leg the size of a small fist When I brought him there, I showed the intake people the bulge and told them it need to be lance they said they would take care of it. I gave him his medical record and on the top a put the record that said he was highly allergic to grains and no not let him have any dog food with that.
They called me back the next day and told me he was ready to be picked up. When I went there the first thing they did was to collect $1500 for the service. I don’t have a lot of money but I paid it. They brought my Dog out to me strapped to a Gurney. I loaded him into the back of my SUV and asked them if his leg was lanced they said they could not find the pocket even though I showed it to the intake person when I brought him there.It was on the inside of the leg but they did not even look and still billed me the $1500 they told me it would cost me to lance it. I went home not knowing what to do. The pocket was about 5"x 3" I and about 2" high after 2 day a measured it and it grew by a inch in both direction I knew this was going to increase fast because of another dog a had who got bit by something so I lance it myself. All kinds of puss and blood came out. The swelling went down I thought I was going to have my dog back he started walking again but now he was not eating well. I found out he would eat turkey lunch meat so I feed him that for about 2 weeks but then he stopped eating that too. By this time my Rot who was 120 lb before this happen was now down to 75 lb. This is what happens with a snake bite. But they could not figure that out or did not care to think about it. Today he started releasing a lot of blood out of his rear and died 1 hour ago Background when I lanced the swollen bulged I notice a red badge on the bulge with two fang mark about a half inch apart he got bit by a snake and they did not even bother to look on the inside of his leg. Also when I picked him up I asked what did you feed him and they did not know so they did not even read his report not to feed him any dog food with grains in it So it cause a ulcer which broke open in his stomach and killed him

They need to get out of are town and crawl back into the hole they crawled out of. DO NOT TAKE YOU PET THERE if you care for them unless you want them back dead U.C. Davis Vet University is the premier vet service in the country. That is were The vets go to get trained they will find the problem and fix it and will not jack up the bill
