With my crazy schedule, Mina and I work-in training
times when we can. This was a short trip to let her
potty and we got right into it. Finding 3 minutes to
practice fun games with your dog a few times a day
isn't a big ask. Especially when they look at you like

Do you know how to have a great realtionship with your dog? It starts with learning what your dog loves and then using those fun things to build a great relationship with them. Rufus couldn't sit still, focus or follow directions when we met him. This is no dig on his mom - she was trying to do the best she could with a high-drive, energetic hunting dog. I'd say it's going well now!

Taking the time in public places is an important part of healthy development ...when they're ready. Flynn has regular field trips to help him be comfortable in all situations.
I want your dog's world to be bigger so they can go to more places with you and live a full life. But you can't rush the process. Not every dog can handle this, and few dogs can be this calm with all this activity. Going to a loud, busy place like this is like reaching a higher level in a video game.
Take your time and listen to your dog. Whining, growling, pacing, jumping on strangers and being unable to settle down - are all signs that you've pushed past your dog's comfort level. Take a step back and make some space to refocus your dog's attention onto you. You'll need to practice here before you can level up again 👍
