Gracie is so scared and all alone in that big, noisy shelter. She is confused and doesn't know what is going on. Gracie can't stop shaking and when she is in her cage, she is just paralyzed with fear. She is full of licks and just wants reassurance that it will be ok. She was tagged by our rescue and could really use a foster home to ensure that she can find her way to safety. A foster application is below! Please share away! Anywhere within 2 hours of the Northern VA area. All supplies provided. Application below!

Logan
Logan has been patient and good with every dog that he’s met so far! Big and small, male and female! He is not potty trained yet, so is sporting a belly band to prevent any accidents.

Good news from the vet today! They said he is much improved! He is good to get his heartworm treatment Thursday. He is back on a bunch of meds to keep his lungs stable, but he’s doing great! $175.70 for today!

Puppy needs surgery
Well … here we go again. Another medically needy pup. What initially was thought to be malnutrition causing a back leg deformity, is actually a completely healed fracture. Yes, there are other parts of it where the malnutrition has contributed to it, but the lump shown on the video is where the fracture is that has healed. $172 today and $250 tomorrow just for the surgical consult. It was also discovered that his femoral head on the right side has not grown and is smaller than it should be. With the abnormal walking it is causing the femoral head to luxate. One of the options mentioned was to rebreak the fracture allowing it to heal and then FHO surgery to correct the hip/femur issue. Not sure the success rate yet. Hoping for good news tomorrow. He is looking for a foster home as well. He was in a foster to adopt home, but it didn’t work out. If you are interested in fostering or fostering to adopt this sweet boy, please let me know!
Gainesville, VA: They fought over cups they fought over the spoons, but when it came to me they decided neither had room. At a scary shelter they would take me to stay, a sad scary place where I couldn’t even play. So very sad to be away from all I have known, I just wished everyday that I could go home. One day I was put in a small cage on a truck, thinking how could I have even worse luck. After two days travel, I finally arrived! To a strange new place, but I was alive. This is a brand new beginning and opportunity for me. I am a little overwhelmed and nervous you see. If you give me some time to open my heart up to you, I’ll give you all of my love that is pure and so true. https://www.petfinder.com/dog/meg-71633289/va/gainesville/paws-deep-animal-rescue-va877/
When your fosters decide to hold a meeting!! 😂😂😂😂
Daisy is STILL available for adoption! Perfect, low maintenance girl. She’s in Richmond, VA. She’s hoping someone will give a mature girl a chance!
Unbelievable. Since the video of the lab, we have found 2-3 more hard, gray masses under her skin. I’m pretty sure these are BB pellets. People need to stop shooting these dogs!! She was originally a stray from Lufkin, Texas.
