Their smiles say it all. Happy kiddos at the Sonoma County Barrel Race! So proud of them for cheering and encouraging each other out. Love the joy I get to bring to these young riders 🥰.
Busy past couple of weeks between lessons, trail rides, shows and schooling not only horses but donkeys! Here to help with your 4 legged needs, feel free to reach out for questions and quotes 🙂.
Man am I going to miss this sweet boy, but thankful I get to continue to work with him and his new momma! Congratulations to Kim on the purchase of your new trail partner!
Fair is right around the corner! We have happily been a supporter with purchasing animals or add ons since 2017. Love getting the buyers letters from kids and supporting the next generation of Agriculture!
Lakota is looking for his forever home! Standing at 14.3h and a respectful 13 years, the sky is the limit with this boy! “Koda” is the best trail partner, crosses bridges, water, heavy brush, sure footed (barefoot too I might add) and ventures out on the trails alone no problem! He’s also been exposed to roping, roping dummy, cattle, livestock, flagwork for drill, and some English riding! Koda is a more forward horse in the arena, but very easy going on the trails (street included 😀). Not a mean bone in his body, he has never offered to bolt, kick, buck or rear. Due to Koda being a sensitive horse, he is best suited for a confident intermediate/ experienced rider. He needs someone to be his leader and guide him through those imaginary scary things. If you are looking for your next trail partner, Koda would walk through fire for his person and give you his 110%! Located in Penngrove. Owners are asking for a respectable rehoming fee, with the best suited home as their goal! 4️⃣🥕🥕🥕 OBO.

English, Western, Trails, Shows, Groundwork, Trailer loading, you name it! Feel free to reach out for your equine needs.
Many references available upon request, including training and placing multiple Safer Sonoma Action For Equine Rescue horses within the past couple years.
Always such an honor to help support youth in my hometown and surrounding areas! Royals of All Trades has been supporting this show for many years, and hopes to keep supporting for many years to come 😊
Smiles all around and practicing the ribbon race/ pace! I love the smiles and memories these horses and my lesson create! So rewarding watching students grow 🥰
Keeping the boys in tip top shape! Thank you for all your help! Highly recommend and have readjustments in the books for the lucky boys already! Droopy lips for all 🥰
Sunny Sunday morning vibes. Happy ponies and even happier kids!
Love is: Working on the arena between rains to get it in tip top shape without being asked. Thank you honey bee!!!
Only her second time being saddled, and miss May didn’t care! Saddled and cinched like a pro. We ponied around the neighborhood and trotted around to let the stirrups hit her side. Still acted like she’s done it 100x! Super proud of this girl! Just goes to show what good groundwork and foundation does to a young mind!
“I feel pretty, oh so pretty!” You sure are Lady May! These colors will be killer on you in the show pen with time!
We are happily sponsoring a buckle for this show. Come see our herd compete, as well as compete for yourself! Amazingly fun and friendly show! Marie has always done an amazing job.
Happy Almost Spring everyone!
Make sure your calendars are marked for April 6-7, 2024 for the Spring Edition Horse Show at the Sonoma County Fair Grounds in Santa Rosa Ca.
We are going to give this year a go and try to keep our show series going, so we need your help - participation, participation and participation! The idea of ending our more than 10 year show series breaks my heart, but we can’t keep going without people giving it a try and continuing to support.
Often, I hear ‘I’m not ready, my horse isn’t ready, we are new to showing, my horse is hairy’ - well let’s say none of those things matter and support our local shows!
To help things be more enticing, we are going to update our cost platform and layout to be more simple and streamlined and less confusing, and less ‘nickel and dime’ feeling and more of a show package.
Next, for the next 7 days We will be open for comment in regard to what classes/divisions would be helpful or would get you to support the show - I will do our best to accommodate any reasonable request that is supported by a class sponsorship.
It’s been a long road of our supplies being ruined by water damage, our show set ups being stolen, and people saying they will show but not coming but i’d sure love to not use that as an excuse to end this series.
Share your ideas, needs and class suggestions below, through messenger to Marie Boyd or contact us through our website at:
We hope to see you all there!
Dental day for the boys! As always, thank you for keeping my lesson horses in top shape! Even Lady got checked out, and she is growing great! Always great to hear compliments on how well behaved she is for being so young 🥰
So true! Trust the process

Great information to know!
You may wonder why we pull back into the syringe when giving injections in the vein. This picture explains why. We don't pull back to make sure we're in the vessel, we do it to make sure we're in the RIGHT vessel. Today I went to give an injection and pulled back and saw blood brighter than I wanted. I decided to go and get a new dose of sedation and once again pulled back and then gave my dose of sedation. The syringe on the left was my first injection and the syringe on the right was my second injection. Does anyone know why I shouldn't have injected that first syringe? And had I injected that first injection, what would have happened?
We hope all our family and friends had a great day! Merry Christmas from our royal herd to yours
When your goats and lamb are super broke. They roam the property during the day, and understand “inside” means go back to your pen!Just a reminder, I don’t just train horses, livestock and dogs can be trained too!
My favorite fluffy co-pilot would like to let y’all know we have trailer spots open from Brookings, OR > Penngrove, CA on Sunday December 17th. Let us know if you need your horses or livestock hauled!
Here at Royals of All Trades, we treat all horses like royalty. For example, this evening I found Ry spoon feeding Caspian his grain. As if he didn’t already have a big head 😂🤣
Just a reminder, hauling for your livestock and equine are available! I forgot to mention, we got an upgrade! We moved to the dark side, and purchased a Ram 2021 3500 Turbo Diesel! Pulls 3 heavy horses like a dream! And the dealership even threw in the cow hanger I was obsessed with. They know their way to my heart 🤣 Michelle Hicks
Always great being featured in other FB posts! Caspian loves a good beer from Twin Oaks Roadhouse
A horse walks into a bar….
The bartender asks him “Why the long face?” 🐴🍺
It’s hard to video and do, but this is Lady’s first time having a saddle on with all the rigging! No kicks, bucks, farts, blowups, etc.!!! Shows that when you put the time in for groundwork and listen to the horse, results are amazing! Good job May!
Congratulations to Ryleigh on the purchase of Memphis! This sweet boy will get to live out his life loving on his girl by doing some barrel racing and trail rides. So happy he gets to stay under my program and get the honor of being this amazing girls first horse! Thank you Dominic Dotto of Dotto Construction for allowing this family to love on your boy 🥰 Nicole Burkett
Thank you for the beer this evening. Happy Caspian made this cowboy’s birthday extra special. Happy birthday to you sir!
Feels great to be able to help support the next round of 4H/ FFA kids! We happily purchased Clayton Maynard’s lamb from American Canyon 4H. Horses approve of their new friend! Always exposing them to new things whenever possible 😁

A HUGE congratulations to one of my students Ryleigh! Ryleigh competed in her first horse show at the Sonoma County Fair this weekend. Her and Duke successfully won a 5th in W/T English Pleasure, 2nd in W/T English Equitation and 6th in Western Pleasure! Then while practicing for the fair, she cantered for the first time by herself on Caspian, and we went for her first trail ride down the street! I am so incredibly proud of how much her confidence in herself has grown. Way to go kiddo! And remember, “Pretty Princess” for your equitation classes 🥰🥰🥰
Some time off did not phase this girl at all! While I was away for my wedding anniversary, this girl was able to get some R&R. She lunged beautifully and rode even better! So that meant exposing her to a small flag today. Good girl Jojo! This gal might be making her show debut this weekend at the Sonoma County Fair Horse Show. Come check her out and snag her before it’s to late! Safer Sonoma Action For Equine Rescue

What an amazing good girl Lady is proving to be! Today was ride #5, and we did it at a show! Rode around the large arena for the first time, out and about the grounds, and even rode away from her herd with no fuss! I love this filly so much, super proud of her! Still on a high from our fifth ride ever!!! #ladymay #bornandraisedroyalty #friesiansporthorse #bestfillyever
When your first ride consists of this nice big yawn, calm demeanor, and willing attitude for more, you know you have put in great foundation and time! So happy Lady May’s FIRST RIDE was this successful! She took a couple steps, stopped when asked, and relaxed while I just sat up there in awe. Didn’t ask for much, and she gave me her all 🥰 #ladymay #friesiansporthorse #aqhaproud #firstride #foundationhorsemanship #horsewhispering
How do your horses react to “strange” animals or objects on the trails? In obstacles classes? Out on the street? Horse shows? The important thing here is building trust and respect with the rider/ handler! Once you build that respect with confidence, horses learn to look for you as their leader! Every horse who comes into training with me is shown this type of confidence booster with respect! Want your horses confidence to grow (or have me teach you how to build that confidence?) Feel free to reach out!
WOW is all I can say about this boy. He’s really coming into his own! It’s taken some time and trust, but we are definitely improving! Lakota will be making his show debut in April, and will come to train at my facility for a couple months for exposure and attention to details. He is currently on the market for the perfect home 💜
Lakota needs someone to snag him for their next dressage or trail mount! Love this sweet boy, helping rehome him will be hard! Let me know if you are looking for your next forever horse! 🥰
First time bridling up, and Lady acted like she’s done it 1000 times before! Then we had to drag a Christmas tree for our goats over to the truck. Throwing a rope and dragging was not scary at all. Such a smart girl! Love the brain she has, and how much she is willing to learn! #ladymay #friesianaporthorse #aqhaproud
This sweet boy has definitely won my heart. A diamond in the rough, with such a sweet and gentle soul. With time, he can be someone’s dressage partner or trail horse extraordinaire. If anyone is looking for their next FOREVER horse, who will have the patience for a SENSITIVE horse, let me know! I would love to partner with him for forever if I could!
Here is some RAW unedited video of ground work training I do with all horses. It’s important for a horse to know to stand for the mounting block, and step up to it (with crazy dogs running around of course!) This is Lady’s first time with it! She is such a smart horse 🥰 #ladymay #friesiansporthorse #aqhaproud

Well Mr. Memphis will eventually live with Ry at her house. That means he needs to be ok with dirtbikes! Today was a great afternoon to get him more comfortable! He was a good boy and wanted to do the right thing. It helped when he saw Ry on top of the dirtbike. Good boy Memphis! ***Also Duke was his emotional support animal, since Duke doesn’t care about anything! Good boy Dukers 🥰***

“So don’t you worry your pretty, little mind People throw rocks at things that shine And life makes love look hard The stakes are high, the water’s rough But this love is ours”- Taylor Swift Lakota, how fun and amazing has it been building a connection with you! You have gone from running away from the site of anyone, to knickering with excitement to get caught for a groom and ride. This boy has so much potential and talent! He is a sensitive soul, who just needed someone to have patience and guide him.
