Breaks are necessary. People need them. Horses need them. By design, riders and horses are off this week. Sometimes being still allow us to breathe, focus on what’s around us, and ‘think of the moments we thank God we’re alive. The moments we’ve found and have waited for’. And... That's a wrap for the summer semester!!! The Fall semester starts in two weeks and you can sign up below. Few spots left! SINCERE THANKS to all of our iheartranch families, riders, friends and supporters. https://iheartranchbcs.com/riding-lessons
This reminded me of tides and currents maps. When dragging the arena, what pattern(s) do you follow?
The first ride on the improved arena was always meant to be on Red. After all, Rachel & Red have been together for 15 years. Feeling thankful that he was actually there for it. In many ways, this was a "first" on its own.
18 loads of screened sand and 4 years later, 'Operation Beach' (iheartranch's riding arena) is COMPLETE!
DIY Arena Project Part 5,324
FACTS: The DIY Arena Project continues to test our patience and determination. There have been MULTIPLE setbacks related to delayed deliveries, weather (including a Hurricane), unexpected rains, rental equipment, heat, and our two work/life/ranch/etc. lives. We are not looking for "balance". We just want to get it done. Fingers crossed and🙏 for progress. Hoping this is a good week for everyone out there.
After the Storm
Happy to report that all horses and the new sand were alright. 🙏!!!
ALL the work and resources we've put into the arena the last 4 years have been in preparation this. The the riding arena that Rachel has been thinking about since she was 11 years old. The first loads of screened sand have been delivered. LOTS more are coming. Stay tuned!
Operation "Beach" Begins (or Continues) Today.
Only in America 🇺🇸. Happy Independence Day!
DIY Arena @iheartranch (130x180 ft)
There are DIY projects, and DYI PROJECTS. Here's a recap on how our 130x180 ft riding arena came to be.
Q: Why didn't you answer the phone?
A: Because I was unsticking a railroad tie from the disc.
