The last time I posted a video about my purebread texas healer it made it to 11.3 MILLION views. I am trying again with a new video that has been jumping a thousand views every 30 seconds or so. I am donating any earnings I make off TikTok to my friend Nada, who is trying to save money to evacuate from the Gaza strip.

You can help by watching this video, and sharing it with all your dog friends or people who love bad puns:

Hi friends!

Do you have a dog you want cheap help with? Keep reading!

I am advocating for Noha and her family, who are trying to survive in Gaza currently and could use as much help as we can possibly give.

*** If you donate $30 or more to Noha’s campaign and send me a screenshot of your donation, I will accept it as payment for a 30 minute dog related consult—whether that’s helping you find an ethical breeder or breed match, brainstorming on any behavioral issues you might have, or need to get a few trick/VHMA/FitDog titles evaluated for CGC submission, etc. ***

You can always donate more and you don’t have to have a dog to donate 😉 but if this is what helps Noha, her husband, and her children access the medical care and security they desperately need, it’s a small price.

New training group alert!

If you want to discuss dog training woes and successes, keep tabs on dog events and opportunities around northern MN, or just become a little more familiar with the ever evolving world of dog training, come check out Northland Dog Alliance.

You do not have to be from the area to join, but the focus of the group is on the Twin Ports and surrounding areas.

I’m hoping to find some more like minded dog enthusiasts that want to help make this thing great 🙂

P.S. Don’t forget to answer the questions and review the rules when you join (or invite your friends to join)!

Howdy friends, I need your help!

I am putting together a course on dog park safety and best practices. I need lots of photos and videos of dogs playing and expressing a range of behaviors and signals, especially with other dogs.

PLEASE do not put your dog in any unsafe or uncomfortable situations to get photos/videos, but if you happen to have any, and would like to help, send me a message.

***I will be offering a discount on all training for the folks I end up using images from***

Some photo/video tips:
- make sure your camera lens is clean
- Try not to include images of people you don’t know, even if you are in public
- videos should be horizontal

Trick training is more than just for impressing your friends (although that can be pretty fun by itself). It can also strengthen the bond you have with your dog, and exercise their brain!

In this virtual group class we'll cover building a positive relationship with training for you and your dog, mechanics to help add clarity to the training process, how to earn trick dog titles, and more!

WHO this class is for: You! No previous experience with training necessary. If you've been thinking of something fun to try with your dog but aren't sure where to start, this is the class for you 🙂

People can be shockingly confident while still being very wrong, so how do you go about discerning which trainers can be trusted with your dog, and which are just masters at presenting themselves well to the general public?

If you've been following along for any of the ethical breeding posts, you've probably gathered that "trust me bro" shouldn't be enough to convince you that someone is trustworthy when adding a new dog to your home. The s...

What does it mean for a breeder to “prove” their dogs? How does a dog’s purpose, or original breed function factor into what should be considered when proving a dog?

NOTE: This is part of a series. Each green flag will be presented on its own, so we can spend a little time digging into what each one means and why it's important to see with your future puppy's breeder. They aren't pre...

Resilience is the ability to experience hardship and successfully adapt to, or recover quickly from it. During adolescence, it can sometimes seem that a dog has little resilience. The neurobiology of adolescence is fascinating, with some key events that occur at this critical time of brain development, including motor skills, how the individual processes information day to day, and the ability to regulate emotions. Understanding these processes gives us an understanding of, and greater compassion for, why and how behavior can fluctuate at this life stage.

Did you know that where you get your puppy from can make a big difference in whether they successfully coexist in your home with family members and other dogs long term?

Follow along for a crash course on ethical breeding so you’re better prepared when choosing your next puppy (identifying green flags in ethical breeders and ethical rescue to follow)!

Of course all puppies are cute and it's easy to fall in love with any one you may bring home, but where you get yours from can make a huge difference in whether they will be able to successfully co-exist in your home and...
