Friendly reminder :

Monday July 1st is Fuquay’s fireworks. Friday is Holly Springs. Time to crank up those tvs and maybe pop a Benadryl every night - I really think this is all pet sitters worst week - dogs and fireworks don’t mesh well 🤣🤣🤣

Good morning Camp Everett Family! As most of you know - I am retiring from pet sitting as my last day is August 30th. While its been an amazing few years - I need to cut back and spend some time with my family. Its hard doing two full time jobs and finding quality time with the boys. With that - I have a list of places that have recommended to me by experience and friends:

If you dont mind boarding option with or without group play time - I personally love Biscuit Garden in Apex/Holly Springs. This is where I board my own dogs and they are fantastic - even for my demanding self.

I want to thank all of you so much for trusting me with your furry family. I honestly had a VERY hard time making this decision.

Please feel free to call or text me if you have any questions - I am officially booked for the rest of summer effective today - its insane - I know.

If you are on my books already for after August 30th - I will absolutely keep those visits on my schedule.

Please keep in touch with me - and always use me as an emergency contact for another pet sitter if you are out of town and I'm home -

Friends- its a sad day at Camp Everett. One of our "originals" left us yesterday at the age of 15!!!. Mitch came to Camp Everett when I use to keep dogs here at the house - almost 8 years ago!. I had to stop that a few years ago due to licenses and liability - but Mitch was already family at that point. Mitch came to visit us quite frequently so if you have ever been to my house - chances are you have seen Mitch (usually sleeping in middle of floor). Mitch would win anyone over - even if you didnt like dogs (just ask my mom - she LOVED Mitch and isnt an animal person). Mitch was my test dog - I could use him to see how dogs were because he was so perfect and would instantly know when someone wanted to play and when someone wanted their space. Mitch even won over Chase - who was dog reactive and they ended up having sleep overs together in the living room when Chase retired. Mitch would let Gadget get away with having his Napolean syndrome when most dogs would want to eat him. But then came Blu........and we all became chopped liver as they instantly became BFFs. Mitch came for about two week right after I got Blu and he taught her everything she knows (how to swipe the leg when playing......how to give the best sits and settle whines when someone is eating so she gets some.........and how to sleep and relax). Blu NEVER let Mitch out of her sight when he was here - he was the heartbeat she needed to have around her. We are heartbroken that he isnt with us anymore - but SO GRATEFUL to have known him, to have loved him and to have been loved by him. Mitch - I'm so glad you came into my life - you were the best boy ever! I know that Chase and Gadget were waiting for you at the rainbow bridge. Janet and Greg - thank you for sharing your boy with us!

Oh man - doing something new and exciting tonight! I’m “headed the chapel and we’re gonna get married”…..well I’m not - but you get the picture. Two lucky dogs are part of their human parents wedding today and I’m the official dog wrangler/keeper! Oh the nerves I don’t mess up the most fun day - treats ✔️, p**p bags ✔️, emergency toys ✔️….heading to get the dogs then to the wedding soon. Let’s do this!!!!!

It’s always so heartbreaking when I hear about one of my furry friends crossing the rainbow bridge - but I’m so grateful of my time with them and for clients letting me know. Alice - you defied all the odds. You were given a few months with cancer and two years later - you were just playing with toys and stealing everyone’s left over food at Christmas. I will miss your Polydactyl self when I visit your siblings - but I’m so grateful you aren’t in any pain. Go cross that rainbow bridge where you can steal all the wet food you want! Until me meet again 🌈 🐾
