Mustang Aspen slaying the day chasing some cows! 6th ride and just 2 months from holding! Very proud of how this young mare has come along! She will be ready for her forever home before I know it!
For Adoption - Mustang Monty
Located in Medway, OH
Very cute 15 hh started Mustang from Black Rock, CA needing a new address! This cute boy was started my a 12 year-old student of mine and he’s been awesome! (Just because he was started by this 12 year-old doesn’t mean he should be finished by your 12 year-old. This is an exceptional 12 year-old we are talking about) He is 4 years old and ready for his person. He was supposed to compete in the Americas Top Youth Challenge in Lexington in September but his owner doesn’t have the time she was planning on with 5 other horses at home.
He is one of the nicest movers I’ve seen and naturally carries himself with poise. He would excel as a hunter, dressage, foxhunting, or jumper. He’s under saddle at the walk and trot but she has not yet cantered him. He is ready though! Needs a little more work at picking up his back feet but well started.
He loads in the trailer, stands tied, tacks, rode bareback, has been hosed off.

Training vs Lifelong Habits/behaviors
You can train a horse something in a day but it takes days of repeating the process and getting the same results to create a a habit that will stand the test of time. Trailer loading is one of these things. Consistency and patience win the race.
Some people wonder why they don’t see huge leaps and bounds after sending their horse to a trainer for 30 or more days. It’s probably not because they weren’t taught “the things,” but more likely because the timeframe wasn’t long enough to form a consistent pattern of behavior. Work with your trainer as often as you can so you can learn the cues and techniques they are using to continue to process of making the horse when he or she returns from training.
Trailer loading has seemed to be the thing in this batch of client horses. I’m getting my fill of training loading! Rory has many more days of loading in his future!

This cute guy is for adoption and ready to find him forever home! Feel free to reach out to me about bringing this talented pony home.
I bought my horse a beanbag! Next step is to sit down with me on him! Ace is such a smart boy!
Student of the week! This week’s shoutout goes to Gracie! This girl has such a kind heart. She loves the horses and tries her best to understand their needs. We’ve have been working on riding posture which isn’t always fun, but Gracie always has a good attitude and the hard work is showing itself! She even got to try her first canter in her last lesson. Her favorite horse is Honey and they certainly make a good pair! Congratulations to Gracie on Student of the week!
Welfare check on my “dead” horse. I have received several texts and calls over the past year regarding my horse “dying,” “foundering,” “colicing,” “taking his last breaths,” etc… I promise this is a daily occurrence. He loves his after breakfast naps. He just happens to be dramatic about everything he does. Including napping. Happy Monday folks! Hopefully this brightens your day!
Ace-Cross Country Practice
Our beautiful Lady has retired from our lesson program. She went home with three sister students of mine to enjoy her retirement.
Lady has been such a blessing to so many individuals over the past year. Ray was so kind to let me use her for my students. She was a favorite in the barn with her kind disposition and willing demeanor. She was a part of first rides, birthdays, big wins, and so many other moments and memories. Lady will be well missed! If Lady was your favorite horse, drop a memory or picture of you and Lady!
Best of wishes to our lovely Lady in her new home!
Atlas is starting to figure this cantering this out! Carmen riding him like a boss! I’m so proud of how far this horse has come.
Schooling Ace at Equine Affaire
We are here and gearing up for the day. Ace has settled in well and is taking in the show environment really well. We were able to get into the Coliseum for a bit of practice after Fantasia. He was a little sticky by the entrance gate. We are still working on his confidence. He was really good with the other horses in the ring and no one in the stands. We will see how he feels with being alone in the ring and a crowd in the stands. We show 23/25 so we are near the end today. He’s had his massage and I’m too tired to be stressed so ready or not here we come!
Mustang Felicity
30-day training with mustang Felicity has come to a close. It has been so fun having her in training. She is very smart and expressive. She came in while her owners were on vacation so we could continue her education on leading, picking up her feet so she would be ready for her first trim, introducing her to saddling, and to begin the process of starting her under saddle. I am very happy with the amount of progress she made. Not only did she accomplish all the above but she was riding like a little pro. She even gave her owner a ride! We kept it pretty show undersaddle as she was still recovering from an injury prior to coming to training so we decided not to push our limits on that leg. We will miss little Felicity when she returns home! Thank you Cindi for trusting me with your girl!
