Hello Fellow Dog Lovers! I'm Linda the dog trainer. I help dog parents raise well-mannered dogs. I grew up with dogs and live with several now, Danny and Jill.

But Jack is the one who opened my world to fostering and other pursuits to help other dogs in need. When you tell me that you feel overwhelmed and exhausted about what you are dealing with, I know what you mean. Jack was a over-reactive dog that I could not keep under threshold when other people came up to us. I realized Jack was not the only dog with these issues, which brought me to what I love

doing now----To help the other Jacks in the world so you can have a less stressful life. We also focus on helping pet parents with new puppies start their journey on the right paw. We want to help them avoid the typical mistakes so we are not called in later to help with behavior modification for pulling like a train on walks, biting and chewing, barking at anyone at the door, jumping on people, barking and lunging at other dogs and people, and many more issues. We can help with personalized training in your home or through interactive online classes. Both options have opportunities to practice in real life scenerios in different Costa Mesa locations. Training your dog is more than just teaching them sit/down/stay. You took on the responsibility of another living being as their guardian. You have huge responsibilities to address the needs of this living being under your care so they thrive in our world.

Learn more about who your dog is and how you can have an amazing connection with the dog you decided to bring home, as you build your 2-way communication skills and life together.

Advocate for your dog so they are not misunderstood/mislabeled.

Strive to give them opportunities to make choices because in reality you have all the control over their lives--where they sleep, what they eat, where they can hang out, who they meet, what they are allowed to play with, etc.

Overwhelmed Dog Guardian--

Did you bring home a puppy several months ago or adopted a rescue dog. You've dreamed about having an amazing life with your new family dog, your companion dog!

🚩 SAVE THE DATE 🚩 Our Free* Microchip Clinic is back! Join us on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 8-11am, to microchip your pet!

🤎 Free microchip clinic for the first 100 dogs and cats
🤎 Limit 2 pets per household; all pets must be 8 weeks of age+
🤎 For safety purposes, all pets must be well-socialized
🤎 Dogs must be on a 6-foot leash or shorter at all times (no retractables)
🤎 Cats must be in a secure pet carrier at all times (no feral traps)

*Attendees must reside in an OC Animal Care contract city. A California ID or photo ID with a utility bill, rental/lease agreement, or similar document providing proof of residency in a contract city needed to participate in this event.

Contract cities include: Anaheim, Brea, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Lake Forest, Orange, Placentia, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Ana, Tustin, Villa Park, Yorba Linda, and the County unincorporated areas.

Dogs make our lives better—they cuddle with us when we need someone to lean on, or just gives us a good laugh with their antics.

This is Jill—she helped me have a better understanding about reactivity in dogs. That they are having a hard time. . .that they just want to feel safe. She taught me to take things slow. Progress takes patience, compassion, and I may have to speak up for her at times.

But she also makes me laugh when she runs around the house with her toy, giving it a good shake, making excited growly noises. And she brings a smile to my face when she comes up to me when I’m at my desk, looking up at me asking to jump up onto my lap for a cuddle-time.

Dogs bark and growl for various reasons: fear, excitement, or simply trying to communicate their boundaries. It's their way of saying, "Hey, I'm feeling uncomfortable/excited/unsafe." Instead of punishing them for these natural behaviors, let's try to understand and address the underlying causes. With proper training and positive reinforcement, we can help our dogs learn healthier ways to express themselves. Remember, a barking or growling dog isn't "bad." They're just trying to talk to us. Hello Fellow Dog Lovers! My name is Linda. I grew up with dogs and live with several now, Danny, Jill and Sammy. But Jack is the one who opened my world to fostering and other pursuits to help other dogs in need.

Tell us about your dog and your problems. We have viable solutions so you can have the dog you want as a member of your family and home. We can help you train your dog using positive reinforcement methods while having a fun time building your relationship with your dog. We can help you regain your peace of mind.

As well as being a dog behavior consultant, we are a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and can help you and your dog prepare for the test. Ask us about preparation classes.

I am a supporting member of International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). Locally, a member of Force-Free OC and Dog Trainers Alliance of Southern California (DTASC).
