To say we are bowled over is an understatement. Your generosity, your heart, who you are… it’s what makes our community so strong. We can move mountains! From the bottom of Bark at the Moon’s hearts - thank you, thank you so very much.

Together, you raised $1,415 for - when I say every dollar counts, I mean it. You’ve impacted so many lives in a positive way. Please continue to keep up with their posts - they are doing so much important work out in LA.

If you want to continue to donate, we are so happy to collect and send. The issues that Pasadena Humane are facing will continue for quite a long time.

This world is a scary place, with tragedies and horrors constantly unfolding. We at Bark at the Moon are feeling particularly helpless seeing what’s going on in Los Angeles. The fires are devastating and so many people and animals have been displaced and have lost their homes. has selflessly taken in over 400 animals, both domestic and wild, many who are burned and injured. They are in desperate need of money to purchase medical supplies and other resources as needed.

It’s simply unimaginable. We need to help these heroes.

Let me tell you about the raffle:
🤍 Each entry is $10 and multiple entries are allowed!
🤍 You have the chance to win 3 30 minute walks, a value of $90.
🤍 All donations will be sent to , with a receipt posted for transparency.
🤍 Open to all current and new clients, and those with cats, too. Restrictions apply, which will be discussed with the winner!

How to enter:

Contest ends Monday, 1/13 at 11:59PM and the winner will be drawn Tuesday 1/14, announced on Instagram.

Happy New Year, everyone! We hope you all had a relaxing and fun holiday season. We figured we’d just catch up on a few important things we had on our minds, so please read below:

1- Being your go-to for vacation care is an honor! To provide you with peace of mind while you take a well-deserved break is something we take pride in. When booking your trip, please check our availability before finalizing your plans (we'd hate for you to be stuck without our help). If we’re available, the booking process is so, so smooth, ensuring that you can quickly check that off your vacation prep list! From there, we’ll be in touch to gather all the details of, well, let’s face it… your dog’s staycation!

2- We are always accepting new training clients! With one certified trainer on the team and another working toward his training certification, we are eager to help you get on the right path with your dog. Please reach out for information on scheduling a consultation, and from there, private hour-long training sessions.

We do want to add that we are strictly positive reinforcement, in both training and walking. We will never use aversive tools (prong, choke, shock, e-collar, bark collar) and take our pledges and ethos very seriously. Being that we are Fear-Free Certified Professionals and belong to the Shock Free Coalition, and are a graduate/student of Victoria Stilwell Academy, this is just something we cannot and will not budge on. I am always happy to discuss this further (and even get a little nerdy about)!

3- Bark at the Moon will be closed for business from Thursday 2/13-Sunday 2/16. Clients who have daily, recurring walks scheduled will be notified of their substitute walker; otherwise, we will not be taking any additional bookings during that time and any requests sent in during that period will be answered on Monday 2/17.

We want to thank you for a phenomenal year, especially as we navigated terrifying health issues - your understanding and support through those challenging times showed us that you truly are our family. It’s an honor to care for and train your best friends, so thank you all for that! We also experienced so much growth this year- proof that when faced with real life, we will always find a way to push through and be here for all of you!

Doing a quick little “beginning of autumn” check-in!

We cannot thank everyone enough for the incredible summer we had with you all! With cooler days ahead (hoodie weather, anyone?) and hectic holiday and event schedules to plan out, we wanted to touch base and let you know:

🍁 We are accepting new clients for weekday walks! Though our books are ALWAYS open, we are expanding and would love to welcome new dogs to the Bark at the Moon family Monday through Friday.

🍁 We are booking for vacation care through the end of the year! Inquire about our sleepover services in the comfort of your home, as well as our drop-in vacation services. Both fully customizable and designed to ensure your pup is happy while you’re away.

🍁 It’s back to school season and if your dog needs a brush-up on training, inquire about our training services today. We have one certified trainer on staff (VSA-CDT) and another currently enrolled for his training certification.

We are taking a break!! 😮‍💨 Thank you all for what was a wildly busy and fun (and sweaty!) summer… and now it’s time to hang up our leashes and recharge for the fall and holiday season that lies ahead. We will be closed Saturday, 9/14 through Sunday, 9/15. Any bookings that have been previously scheduled for that weekend will be honored and handled by our dedicated and caring team. All booking requests sent in that weekend will be responded to on Monday, 9/16.

Here it is! Our officially official out of office announcement! We will be closing at 3pm on Thursday, March 21 through Wednesday, March 27, resuming business on Thursday, March 28. We will not have access to communication for that time, so please reach out this week and next for bookings beyond March 28 (if you haven't already!).
