UPDATE : The bird has been recovered and is safe at home !!!!!

Stolen Parrot Alert!!! A friend of mine and a relative of a CAARE board member had their female Congo African Grey stolen today from his apartment. A female, her boyfriend and possibly her son could be looking to either sell, surrender, or look for a cage, food etc..... they don't have any parrot food nor a cage to hold her. If you run across something that just doesn't feel right, it could be them especially if they seem to not know a lot about parrots in general. Please reach out to me, reach out to someone at caare avian rescue. The police have been notified already. Thank You!!!!!

Multiple pigeons available for adoption! Dutch and Prince! Dutch is around a year old now. He was hand raised and LOVES human interaction. Loves flying around the kitchen and playing in water. Prince's age is unknown, likes cooing around people but would rather not be handled, he isn't a mean bird, just doesn't see a need for cuddles. He also enjoys flying and playing in the sink. UPDATE !!! The tortoise has been found and returned to the owner!

Looking for help !! The tortoise is somewhere in or around Elmwood park in West Fargo. He was found and released near the water , thinking it was an aquatic turtle. PLEASE if you have some spare time join us at the park and the surrounding area. The owner is heartbroken !!

Morning! I am hoping that someone out there has an over the counter medication called Scatt or Iverlux . We have some on the way but unfortunately they cannot get it to me before Sept. 10th. This is used for treating air sac mites in birds. Most commonly used in finch. The smaller of the bourkes I feel needs to start the medication before the 10th. If you have some or know someone that has finch that could help, please send me a message ! Thanks

Little Rosie Bourkes! Probably only 12 - 14 days old! Hand feeding as they were being neglected by their “parronts”. So far so good. They get fed roughly every 2 hours (sometimes more often) which will slowly become less often as the weeks go by. Hand feeding when birds are this young should only be done as a last resort. Many things can go wrong if one isn’t careful. Aspiration and crop burn being the most common. Proper weaning and rearing requires actual parrot “parronts” as they get beneficial bacteria and are much better at flying than I am!
