Forgive the long post but I wanted to share with you my affection for poodles.
As a child at age 10 I fell in love with poodles. It was a few years (1984) before I was be the proud owner of my first poodle, a black small miniature poodle I named Tiffany. I n 1985 she had a litter of 3 beautiful puppies. I was hooked....I enjoyed watching the Westminster Dog Shows but I knew the “show world” was not for. But my focus was in breeding quality puppies. In 1989 she died due to a snake bite. It would be years before I could bring myself to get another poodle simply because I loved & missed Tiffany so much, she was simply a special little poodle. I finally did get another black poodle & this time she was a toy size I named Cara. She was killed by the neighbors two dogs. A friend knew how upset I was over losing Cara so he bought a toy poodle for me that just happened to be black that I named Abby. She was barely six months old when the same dogs that killed Cara killed Abby. Upset beyond words I didn’t get another puppy! Then one day in 2004 I read that a lady in Havana, Florida had Standard Poodle puppies for sale. So I went and checked them out & brought home my first Standard Poodle that I named Tullia & she was also my first non black poodle....Tullia was a cream. Through the years I had continued reading & study about raising quality poodles & building a good strong bloodline. I missed not having a poodle in my life so I started searching for one. I knew I want to have not only a female poodle but I also wanted to find & have my very first male poodle. Fast forward to 2018, one day a friend showed me a photo of a puppy that was located in Albany, Georgia. I contact the breeder to make arrangements to come visit her litter. Once there & looking over her absolutely gorgeous puppies I locked eyes with my future.....Lainey! Needless to say she soon came home with me. To achieve my goal & dream of having my own poodle stud I started searching for a sound bloodline & last year found my first & future male puppy in Clark, Arkansas, owned by Cris Walker. On May 31, 2019 I finally got to meet the newest member of my poodle family. It took a few days to settle on a name for him but in the end with the help from my granddaughter I named him Theophilus.....but we shorten it to Theo! After many prayers & many hours thinking what I would like for my kennel name to be I choose Boone Hill Standard Poodles. Because I am retired & I have some spare time I am also creating different items to start an online craft business that I am naming Boone Hill & Company......I will post an announcement when it’s open. Till then, I pray God’s blessing upon you & take care.
Warm Regards,
Linda Aycock, Owner/Breeder
