ROSIE went home the other day and her owners biggest request was being able to have her behave in the beach!
Well, Rosie is a pro now! Unfortunately the weather had been a little nasty so not too many people on this day but Lindsay had practiced other days with her and distractions to ensure she was capable with her owners!
Gunner doesn’t mind holding a down even when Lindsay is out of sight. He stays focused on her as he should but doesn’t budge!
ROSIE demonstrating self control even with Lindsay at a far!
We love working with little dogs, they make everything look better 😉
GUNNER practicing good behavior in public, walking appropriately with his handler, holding a down while she walks away and comes when called!
Gunner is going to do so great with his owners!
Their biggest issue was his recall!
ROSIE is doing an absolute amazing job at learning self control!
Rosie came to us for many reason but BARKING at other dogs, birds, squirrels, etc. was one of her owners biggest complaints about her behavior!
Check out how we use heel to give Rosie a structured walk, followed by “Place” when a dog approaches.
For many dogs, typically staying in motion, in a heel command is best when approaching triggers but, the fact that she is content with hopping on place and not even looking at that other dog is her making healthier choices for herself! Yay Rosie! 🥰🐕🐾
Gunner is only 6 months old and has a habit of peeing when excited.. so we took him out to introduce him to new, strange people, while incorporating self control to avoid that excitable urine release! Good job Gunner! 🙌🏼🥰🐕 #excited #doberman #dogtraining #impulsecontrol #newpeople #happypee #howto #doglanguage #strangers
ROSIE’S first day out in the world was at Lowe’s on day 4!
She has learned all of her obedience commands so now we start to incorporate them in new and distracting environments.
This is only the beginning and we can’t wait to see how she does as she progresses each day!
ROCKY has been known to be a little too much around children in his foster home so, while in training we are working directly around children to work on those impulsive behaviors, teaching him boundaries and respect, while still being able to interact and play with him.
Teaching children the same verbiage that he knows and understands makes it easier for Rocky to make the right choices and be successful going back to his foster to adopt!
We are so proud of the progress Rocky has made while going through training 🙌🏼🥰🐾🐕
Lindsay was out with GUNNER the other day working on some drop leash - potential off leash habits!
Practicing recall while not initially in command - this will help teach Gunner to be aware of where we are at all times and if he is accidentally let loose, we have that trusty recall to rely on!
Gunner is only half way through his training here so we have plenty of time to take his training even further!
ROSIE, after just 1 day of training has learned 4 commands!
Her owner got a few videos on the process of how we teach these commands, followed by this one of her understanding what she learned 🐕
Rocky came to us for training because he was an overly excited boy when it came to EVERYTHING.
He would bark at people, be a little too much for children and had terrible self control/ impulse control.
Lindsay has been working hard on his behaviors and yesterday he made another stride!
Check out Rocky hold his place command with a few distractions 🥰🐕🐾
Gunner has been doing an absolute amazing job in his obedience training! This week we are working towards some off leash obedience but over the weekend he got to attend the burger battle!
ROSIE has started training with Lindsay and we have already seen for ourselves some of the behaviors she displays with her owner!
Rosie is an incessant barker in the home, while in the crate and at anything that moves 🫣
She’s here with us to gain self control through obedience training to overcome this terrible habit that she picked up from other dogs.
We love when a dog is so good that the kids can enjoy a walk with them too! 😉
Lindsay trained Reese and her daughter got to handle her before she went home from her board and train!
Getting the kids involved is so important for the dog to understand that they must respect the children in the household as well but, it also encourages the kids to have fun while being involved 🥰🙌🏼🐾
One of Rocky’s biggest problems in a new home has been the crate.
Rocky likes to panic, freak out, drool and ESCAPE the crate.
Lindsay has been working daily on his crate behaviors, and the accidents in the house associated with it as well.
Rocky is still a huge work in progress but he no longer fights to go in the crate and is getting better about settling faster!
We’ve also recommended the Ruffland air crate to his foster/adopt for his safety and prevention of escaping.
GUNNER out at Gleason park, working through just a few distractions!
Look how beautiful that recall is! 😍
One of his owners biggest must haves is a solid recall & boy I think he’s gonna have a solid recall, even when distracted by the end of his 3 weeks with Lindsay!
ROCKY on day 2 of training has got most of his basic commands understood with just leash pressure!
Communication through leash is so important in training your dog and is only the beginning!
Rocky has a long way to go but we are all so pleased with his progress so far 🙌🏼🐾🐕
GUNNER on day 3!
We work hard with teaching leash pressure and treat reward the first 3 days of your dogs board and train, followed by introducing the E-Collar appropriately at the end of day 3.
Check out Gunner’s progress as he shows off his beautiful recall to sit, place and even a little bit of distance for down! 🙌🏼🐕🐾
Say hello to ROCKY 🐕
This sweet Boxer is from the Coastal Boxer Rescue and we have the privilege of training him over the next 10 days!
Rocky is currently reactive to some strange people, dogs, cats, bicycles and a few other things due to lack of any socialization in the entire beginning of his life!
The first day in our care, Rocky already displayed his reactivity toward cats and bikes but not people thankfully!
He is an excitable, easily aroused boy who is in need of some serious structure and guidance so we are here to give it to him!
Lindsay is so excited to work on his progress and then work with his potential foster to adopt after all his hard work!
Rocky is currently looking for a home so please go over and submit an application for him if you’d like to be considered! 🐾🐕

GUNNER is in for our 3 week boarding and train!
Gunner is only 6 months old and is already too over powering for his owner. He likes to pull heavy on the leash and dart out the door!
Day 1 with Lindsay and he is already learning a great recall!
Day 1 of training consists of teaching your dog basic leash pressure along with treat reward.
