Did you guys know that Cooper is also a professional trick roper?! He holds a PRCA speciality act card and is performing 4 nights a week at The Painted Pony Rodeo in Lake Leuzurne, NY this summer! He has performed all over the country from Quebec, Canada to Fort Myers, Florida and all in between!

We’ve been absent these past few months for a good reason, we’re new parents! But now that we are getting things down, we hope to be posting on this page a lot more often! Had a great week of lessons here at Nastri Performance Horses! This week, Paul Melo and his horse Sage who we had for a couple months this past winter drove up to us from MA near cape cod to spend a couple of days! Thanks for coming to rope with us Paul and great job!

Okay everyone! Nastri Performance Horses is back up and running. We we apologize for any inconvenience! We are currently in Ballston Spa, NY for the summer while Cooper trick ropes @ the painted pony in Lake Leuzerne, NY wed, fri, sat nights and thurs afternoons!

We currently have 1 more opening for training board or c**t starting! Please send us a text or email if you’re interested in sending your horse or c**t for a tune up or starting!

We also currently have 2 sale horses! One 4yr old black gelding, and a 4yr old chestnut filly! Both started and under saddle. Details to come. Please get ahold of us to come check them out!

Cooper is continuing to give lessons, both riding lessons, and roping lessons on a scheduled basis. He is also doing individual training rides.

Cooper worked as an assistant trainer for Jay Holmes, an AQHA World Champion and owner of Triple J Ranch in Sarasota, Florida. During his time there, he had the opportunity to ride many finished reining horses, cow horses, and ropers. His experience there as well as his experience in the rodeo world has helped provide him with the skills, talent, and ability that he uses to help him train. Cooper specializes in horse training with a focus on body control that can send a horse in any discipline ready to succeed. He has started many young horses from the ground up, putting a solid handle on them. Finishing horses in roping is where he started, taking after his father Carmine Nastri, a 25x circuit champion, but shortly after began focusing on body control techniques which led to him expanding his training to reining horses, cow horses, ranch horses, and barrel horses.
