Authorities rescued approximately 150 dogs from deplorable conditions at a Brimer Road property in Coweta County, marking one of the area’s worst neglect cases in years.

Investigators discovered dogs living in feces-filled rooms, campers and vehicles. Volunteers and organizations, including Renegade Paws Rescue, assisted in removing the animals.

John Harold Palm, 68, was charged with animal cruelty and released on bond. The property remains under investigation for code violations. Rescue groups urge the public to foster, adopt or donate to help rehabilitate the rescued animals.

Lets talk about potty training. When you get your sweet new puppy home you want to take it to its potty area BEFORE introducing them to anything else. Always carry the puppy out the door you wish for him/her to go to when using the bathroom. Carry them out the door and to the spot you want them to use for the bathroom and sit them down. After they go potty, give lots of praise and a treat. They should be allowed to explore some after they potty as well. Don't be in a hurry. This will show the puppy not to rush back inside, as this sometimes results in a puppy that potties inside. 8 week old pups now using the doggy door to go potty outside!!
