🌟QUESTION 1)Best piece of riding advice you would give another equestrian?

It can’t be overstated: enjoy the process. I don’t think I really felt what that meant until the last two years of getting back into consistent riding. There is nothing in the entire world I love more than horses and jumping, and while I have goals, the process of getting my riding legs back underneath me and learning & developing new skills has been so rewarding that I almost don’t need the “end result”. but that’s the coolest part - the pure love for the process will likely get you to those results anyway!

🌟QUESTION 2) Favorite horse memory?

There are SO many to choose from, but probably the first time I jumped a full course again two-ish years ago. It had been about 10 years since I was in consistent lessons and it totally re-sparked my obsession with jumping.

🌟QUESTION 3) Goals for next show season?

3) I want to keep having consistently good/confidence building show rounds with my thoroughbred Murphy and to continue getting more comfortable and clear-headed in the ring. I’d definitely like to go to some more A-circuit shows, we’ll see what the year brings!

MHJA would like to offer our sincere apologies to both our membership and the Big Sky Classic Horse Show. The rating of the Jump Into Summer had not been finalized and unbeknownst to a majority of board members an email was sent to members stating that the show was rated. This is very clearly a lack of communication between the board, which will be rectified going forward, and as such the Jump Into Summer show will be MHJA rated. In addition, there have been communication issues between the Big Sky Classic series and the MHJA board. MHJA and BSC have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship in the past and we have no doubt that this issue can be easily resolved so as to ensure this relationship continues. We apologize for the confusion this has caused.
