Seniors for Seniors is a program where applicants over 65 can adopt a HfP pet 6 years or older and adoption fees will be waived! 🐾 We have so many wonderful dogs eligible for this program!

Chopper is a 6 year old pointer mix. 🐾
He would do well in a home where commands are used as he’s very obedient and loyal. Chopper is down to play outside or chill in the house with you!🏡
He wouldn’t need much monitoring since he’s an adult and is house trained! 🌳
Chopper loves playing with other doggie friends. 🐕
Chopper has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.

‼️Senior for Seniors‼️
Sweet Sam is almost 9 years old, and he has been with Hope for Pets Rescue for two years. He is one of the sweetest boys ever and doesn’t act like a senior. He has a happy personality and enjoys running and playing, but he especially loves belly rubs and as much attention as you can give. He is kid friendly, house trained and crate trained.
Sam must be an only dog and he doesn’t like cats. But he loves humans unconditionally!

Lady is a sweet 11 year old girl who is available through our Seniors for Seniors program! 🐾
Lady was found running down the street and her foster mom was able to catch her and take her to the vet to see if she was chipped! Lady was chipped, but unfortunately her owner had passed away in 2022. 😞 We aren’t sure how long Lady was on her own, so Lady does take a little bit to warm up to new people!
🐾Lady is dog friendly, potty trained, and knows basic commands!🐾
🍂Lady will be at our adoption event in Gladewater on 9/24!🍂

Our program matches fully vetted senior dogs with senior citizens that are looking for a new companion, with a •WAIVED• adoption fee for approved applicants! 💵
If we don't have the perfect match for someone, no worries! We can reach out to our local shelters and rescues to find the dog that will fit into their lifestyle!
The sad reality is that senior dogs are usually the last ones to be adopted from shelters so we want to give them a second chance at life! By matching them with senior citizens, we are impacting TWO lives at once because there are so many benefits to adopting! 🐶 🐾💕

Meet 🐼PANDA🐼
Panda is a sweet boy and is pretty laid back.
Panda was found by his foster mom and we can only assume that the kind of life he had was rough and something a dog should never have to go through. He has overcome a hard life and is ready to have a forever family. Panda does have arthritis and that will need to be managed with pain medication, but he takes it like a champ!

Sam got some good news today and wanted to share it with you since your donations helped pay for his surgery. He does not have Mast Cell cancer!!!
It was a soft tissue sarcoma grade 1. Apparently it is pretty common in middle aged or older dogs and once removed normally doesn’t come back!

Sam is back on the adoption list and anxiously waiting for his furever family! He loves being outdoors but doesn’t mind being an inside buddy either. We are looking for a weekend foster for Mac. His current foster works all day Friday and Saturday and Mac gets lonely. He would love to hang out with you and keep you company for a couple of days. He is very laid back, house and crate trained. He will come with everything he needs.
