Today's the day, folks!
Second weekend of the Community Small Business Market at Tractor Supply is here Friday March 28 and Saturday March 29, 2025!

I hope to see all my neighbors, community members, and friends show up and show out about their local small businesses and show all the love this weekend.

If you are someone or know someone who has some handmade items that they would like to share and sell locally, please come set up or call Partin Place Farm and we can help get your products seen and SOLD.
We would love to see you succeed!

Another great start to the week with some Monday Marketing Madness from Partin Place Farm.
Opening weekend for the Community Small Business Market with Roanoke Tractor Supply was a success, despite the wind and storms.

This week, Let's think about edible wild flowers.

With Spring right around the corner, Do you know your local wild edibles? We all know by now that are completely edible and are one of the first flowers of Spring time, and a first available nectar and pollen for the in our area. But did you also know that and are also excellent resources and completely edible?
I personally infuse Purple Dead Nettle into my homemade skin balm (that I carry daily) to help with dry skin and itchiness. It works wonders, and I plan to infuse as well for a more intense Itch Relief Balm this summer.


Ask your local herbalist or Master Gardener about your garden and wild edibles this Spring and Summer to learn more about your local edible plants.

Right on schedule for your weekly post from your favorite small farm...

This week, Let's shoutout to our local for being tenacious, strong, and brilliantly proud in their growth.
We all know by now how edible these little sunburst flowers are and how much the native pollinators enjoy them.
I personally give my pollinators the first round of blooms, then its my turn for harvest.
I use these bountiful blooms for several things including:
Infused Dandelion Balm, Dandelion Jelly, and Dandelion Syrup.
The Partin Farm kids enjoy the Syrup for infused pancakes and the Jelly on Farm Mom's handmade biscuits.
I've seen some folks even batter and deep fry these rays of sunshine for sweet, decadent snacks!

Dandelions are an excellent source of Vitamin K, and several other important minerals and vitamins our bodies use every day.
Ask your local herbalist or Master Gardener about your local edible plants this Spring and learn more about your yard this year.

Want to support small business but finances are tighter than usual?
This is an easy fix! (No, I don't mean your finances, mine are in shambles too. )
Go online to your Small Business's Social Media pages, websites, etc and comment on ANY post. (Preferably several!)
Comment, click different positive reactions where applicable, "Like" their page and their posts regularly, and post reviews of their items you've bought from them.
Reviews, and comments help more than you know, I promise!

It doesn't have to cost money to show your support.

Shout out to our community and neighbors!

Tractor Supply Company in Roanoke, AL is having a Support your Local Community and Small Business Market twice a month, Friday and Saturday, to support our locals, neighbors, and small businesses in our area.
We are looking for several more vendors! We need several vendors in each category to rotate through our set-ups.
We are looking for:
SMALL BAKERS: cakes, cookies, specialty treats, homemade bread
CRAFTERS: Knitting, sewing, crocheting, embroidery
Tshirts/Clothing: Sublimation, vinyl, orders for groups and more
FARMERS: Fresh produce, jams/jellies/pickles/relish
HONEY/BEE PRODUCTS: we need at LEAST two vendors for honey on a rotating schedule
FOOD VENDORSs: Chicken & Fish is right next to TSC and we do not want to take business from them, so please keep that in mind. If you have contacts with local small restaurants who would want to offer up a small list of pre-made or quick items, make sure they have their paperwork ready and have them apply.

We would LOVE to have a food truck, or food vendors to rotate through. We want to give everyone the chance to have some support and adequate time for set up.

BLACKSMITHS OR OTHERS: We would love to have someone with experience come set up with their tools of the trade to sharpen our tools, offer advice, or provide a small but SAFE demonstration. We would love to see and be able to purchase their handmade items as well, if they have any they would like to bring.
PET TRAINERS: Saturdays events are pet friendly/adoption events and we are looking for local, professional and otherwise, animal trainers to come out for the events. We are hoping to work with local veterinarians in the area to promote their business, vaccine clinics, and spay/neuter clinics, correct pet first aid, as well as other ways to support responsible pet ownership in our community.

What we do NOT want:
Resellers, flea market type products such as used tools, appliances, etc
No mass produced/store bought items, please.
No MLM like Paparazzi, Scentsy, etc.
WE WILL NOT PERMIT THE SALE OF ANIMALS EXCEPT IN THE CASE OF RABBITS AND GOATS. We do not have room for anything larger.

We hope to see an amazing turn out of vendors and customers!
