Transformation Thursday! Everyone meet Hope! She was brought to us by a good Samaritan, and unfortunately had one of the worst cases of mange and ear mites that we've seen- we couldn't even see her beautiful golden eyes due to the scabs and swelling. She is now fully healed and ready for a new home! She is FIV positive, so she would do best in a home with other FIV cats, or a home without cats. If you'd like to meet this sweet girl, please contact us!

Everyone meet Sassy! This sweet girl is looking for her forever home! She is roughly 12 to 14 weeks of age, playful, and VERY friendly. She is spayed, up to date on shots, and negative for FeLV/FIV. She is great with other cats, and comfortable around people. If you're interested in meeting this sweet girl, please contact Randy or Vicki Chandler at 850-769-9455. She must live inside full time.

❤️🤍💙Please note that our office will be closed July 4-7 in observance of the 4th of July holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Monday July 8th.
The 4th of July can be a scary time for many pets. Please keep the following recommendations in mind:
1. Make sure your pets have identification tags with up-to-date information.
2. If your pets aren’t already microchipped, talk with us about microchipping. A microchip greatly increases your chances of having a lost pet returned. If your pets are microchipped, make sure your contact information in the microchip registry is up to date
3. If your pet has historically been anxious on this holiday, consider behavioral therapy/medications to desensitize your pet and reduce the risk of problems- make sure to call your veterinarian ahead of time to have medications refilled

❣️Oh, Baby!❣️ We have some exciting news- Dr. Abbi is expecting a sweet little girl. Our new "employee" is expected to be here at the end of April, which means that Dr. Abbi will be on maternity leave for the month of May. Although we will not be seeing appointments during this time, our phone lines will still be open to answer any questions, refill meds, and schedule future appts. If your pets are typically due in May for care, we recommend scheduling in April to avoid any issues. Dr. Abbi will return in June for appts. We apologize for the inconvenience, but appreciate your understanding during this time.

We'd like to take a moment to welcome our newest team member, Bri! Bri is a veterinary technician that has been in the field for over 5 years. She grew up in the Panama City area, and is a Mosley High School graduate. Go Dolphins! Bri has always been around animals from a young age. She has multiple animals which include four cats, one dog , one ball python and one older bearded dragon. We are excited to welcome Bri to the ECMV family!

With just a few days to go before Christmas, we're sure everyone is making last minute preparations, including Santa and his reindeer. We're happy to let you know that ECMV has been certified an official “Santa’s E.L.V.E.S.” (Emergency Landing and Veterinary Expert System) location.

In the event that Santa’s reindeer team needs to make an unscheduled Christmas Eve stop for sled repairs, refueling, or veterinary care, our staff will be available to provide needed assistance and ensure a safe and on-time delivery of Santa’s cargo.

Who's ready to give this sweet girl a home for the holidays? Sarah is a 13 year old tuxedo cat that was surrendered to ECMV a few months ago, and has been staying with a great foster who has been helping her open up. She is still nervous around new people, but has really come out of her shell. She loves head rubs and to just sit with someone. She gets along with other cats, but scares easily with loud noises so a home without dogs or children is best. Go Cheesecake!

This weekend we met Cheesecake, who had an unfortunate severe injury to her front leg that required an amputation. Dr. Abbi took her home that evening after her surgery (yes that is her, resting on Dr. Abbi's pillow in the comments). And take a look at her walking around the very next morning LESS THAN 24 hours after surgery. She is feeling much better! Wishing Cheesecake a speedy recovery! Go Cheesecake, go!
