Introducing our new litter: Dumplings from around the world! By Brandy x Garth Brooks.
🎉Guardian Home Opportunity for Wedgie in FORT LAUDERDALE! 🎉
Wedgie is a micro merle bernedoodle boy who will be about 20-25lbs fully grown.
.
What is a Guardian Home?
A Guardian Home is utilized by small breeders so they can grow their program with the best quality dogs, while also giving every single dog the enrichment, love and attention they need! While we want to keep all our dogs with us, we understand they will be happy with more one on one attention.
As a Guardian Home, you are the permanent home for one of our dogs while they are in our program and get to keep one of our puppies FREE of charge.
.
Requirements: Must live in Fort Lauderdale and own your own home with fenced yard or have landlord approval. We also ask that someone stays at home most of the time or can come home for 1-2hrs at lunchtime. You will provide the routine vet care, grooming, food and training that you would with any new puppy. We have provided one month of new puppy training already so he will sleep through the night, knows basic commands and well on the way to being potty trained. We will provide vet care related to breeding expenses, 💲incentives and you will be considered one of the Buttery Bernedoodles family!
.
Please reach out if this sounds like you would be a fit for this opportunity and we can discuss the details further! 💖
Artichoke's temperament evaluation- part 5
Adjustable traits:
Sound and Sight sensitive- so she startled with both but recovered in a few seconds with reassurance from the neutral dog. She would do well in a home with another dog. She loves to play with her littermates and another dog in the home would be a great benefit to her.
With the tenderhearted we see that she was curious but not bothered by a strong emotional response. She respected the testers space and went on to do other things. She's low/not tenderhearted.
.
Overall Artichoke is a middle of the road kind of dog. She doesn't fall too far on any of the spectrums and that's actually what we strive for in our program because that means they could fit really in any placement whether with an older or younger couple, kids or dogs. She does love her people and would thrive in a home where she can be around someone or another pet for company. She may even do well with training as a therapy or Emotional Support Animal!
Artichoke's temperament evaluation- part 4
Here you can see that Artichoke has become more comfortable and confident. She feeds off the energy of the tester and will likely continue to do so in her new home. Her energy level throughout is moderate about 5-6/10. She does have moments of play and high energy but equal moments of calm and/or curiosity.
Artichoke's temperament evaluation- part 3
Artichoke is very touch tolerant and compliant. This is something we do every day with our puppies and she is one of the meltiest dark chocolate bars. She loves being held and pet.
She is also nose driven and her future family should honor her by playing mental stimulation games with food and possibly would do well with nose-work
Artichoke's temperament evaluation- part 2
Artichoke is seeking reassurance and showing a lower motivation level. We have played with her separate to the other puppies and she does show a higher level of motivation when chasing a ball or with a treat. She does love to learn and will eagerly sit for her treat. In her new home, Artichoke will need to work on her nerve strength to build her confidence level. This is something that is easily trainable with positive socialization to new places/people/things as they grow.
Something that is stable is her human focus. She loves people and will often be the first one to run over to me for some love!
Artichoke's temperament evaluation- part 1
Artichoke approaches her new surroundings a bit apprehensively. Her tail and posture are crouched so she is unsure of her surroundings. She is seeking reassurance from the tester and keeps herself close to his side. She could be displaying some assertiveness here, but likely she is Moderate assertive and just wants to be close to the tester and is showing a strong human focus and interest in toys.
Pringles temperament evaluation- part 4
Adjustable traits-
Sound and Sight sensitivity. He was startled by the sight sensitivity test and did a careful loop as far away from it as possible and did not engage. While training, you will want to have some very high value treats that he would be willing to work more with than just praise. He did not shut down after the sight sensitivity, but if he is in a fear stage, we did not want to stack the stressors and cause a negative association but I can assume it would be more of the same as the sight test.
.
Last evaluation is the tenderheartedness. He is showing that he is not interested in an intense emotional response. He didn't remove himself from the situation but he was more into the crocs than he was into comforting the tester.
.
Pringles may need more work in the building his confidence department but if you put in the work, he would be an amazing, low-key family companion. He's not reactive in any way, he's a good listener, easy to train with treats (one of the first puppies to learn "sit") and will be an amazing, sensitive soul for someone! When you take him home, please give him a little extra time to decompress and adjust!
Pringles temperament evaluation- part 3
Pringles has a very high touch tolerance. He's great about letting you pet/tug/play with nails and teeth. His energy never really changes throughout the testing and I've noticed he's great about letting us do our daily puppy massage. Never has a day where he doesn't like the attention and cuddles!
.
He also did scent the treat, but wasn't willing to part with the tester to solve the problem.
