Is it crazy that I look forward to weeding the garden? Many weeds are safe for rabbit consumption and helps offset our feed bill. If you choose to feed fresh greens, make sure you know your plants, research their safety, and don't feed your rabbits anything treated with herbicides or insecticides. Here we are feeding chickweed.

It's so neat to see how curious all the rabbits are when I come out at night to check on them. Imagine 16 beautiful white rabbits, all standing up looking at you. I am so happy to care for all these little critters. @ Jamestown, North Carolina

Our kids look forward to the three week mark because that is when they get to come in the house for socialization. The kids love to hang out with the kits in the den. We use the time to identify the kits seeking the most human interaction and mark them. It's just one step we take in getting them ready to place with individuals on our wait-list.

8 day update! Remember me saying kits regulate their body temperature by moving the pulled fur on and off? Today is a prime example. They have plenty of hair, and the nest box is in the evening sun (what?! Sunshine after two weeks of rain?!!?) The kits moved on top of the fur and are napping in the warmth. @ Jamestown, North Carolina

Cold night here, but we have 5 healthy Blanc de Hotot babies!! She had them between 12 and 230 am. Two were away from the group at my 230 am baby check, cold and barely breathing. I held them until they were warm. All are back together, doing well, and snug now.

Busy morning getting slate for a pathway in front of the cages then an evening installing new LED programmable lights and a new clear tarp curtain. The girls will live on the top and the bucks, Jrs, and growouts will be on the bottom.
