Ruth decided it was today.
Today was the day she would come all of the way out of her house, on her own, and crawl around on me for a few minutes.
Bless her and her tiny dino ways.
Goodnight all!

I provide care for your less common companions whenever you need to be apart for an extended period of time.

Goodnight all!
The notorious RBG says goodnight all you critter friends out there!
Myrtle says good afternoon!
Hope everyone is staying dry.
Myrtle says good afternoon everyone!
I hope you all are staying dry.
My clients the next 2 days.
Everyone meet Missy and Cheech!
They are the softest little babies.
Nicobar pigeons.
Coolest bird you'll see this week.
Ruth is my best friend, hands down.
Meet the residents, part 3.
Name: Elizardbeth aka "Betty"
Scientific name: Hemitheconyx Caudicinctus
Commonly called: African Fat Tailed Gecko
This is Betty, my sweet little old woman.
She's one of the sweetest and cutest lizards I have!
Fun fact: fat tailed geckos are insectivores, which is a type of carnivore.
Betty is a spoiled little baby in that she will only eat if I pick up her egg hide (with Betty in it) and feed her bugs one by one.
Betty especially likes green bottle fly spikes and black soldier fly larvae!
Tell Betty you love her by liking and sharing my page to your friends! Lizards for everyone!
I love my job! Also the little blue guy despises me and every time I see him he tries to square up.
I guess its a small price to pay for doing something that brings me such joy!
This little bird decided to hop in the water dish and have a bath as soon as I sat it on the ground.
I named her Myrtle.
I got to hang out with my favorite red bird this morning!
And she decided that she wasn't going to bite me, so thats what im gonna call friendship!
Bonus pictures of Shelob the efficient huntress.
This is my absolute favorite thing to do. Spending time with pets, mine and yours, to ensure that they're safe and well taken care of while you are away is a really fulfilling and joyous profession.
I am truly glad that I decided to make the transition from customer service to being a professional pet friend.
If you or a friend are considering going away from home for any length of time and need someone to take care of your exotic pets, please shoot me a message! Its really the best job and I would be more than happy to help!
Good morning everyone!
I wanted to share one of my side projects.
I raise different insects as food for my insectivorous friends and sometimes i like to see if i can use my knowledge to do new projects.
Here's a photo of some sphinx moth cocoons that I've encouraged as they've developed, and im now waiting patiently for them to turn into moths!
Bugs are really super cool, don't you think?
Happy Friday yall!
Look at this pretty pretty girl!
Going into blue never looked so cute.
Meet the residents, volume 2
Name: Buster
Species: Ball Python
Scientific name: Python Regius
This is my friend, Buster! Buster is a Ball Python who came to live with us in February because his previous owner had bought him for their 5 year old child, and the child had lost interest. That compounded with the fact that the parent was absolutely terrified of snakes meant that prior to living with us, Buster didn't have the best quality of care. Buster had zero heat, dirty water, multiple layers of stuck shed, and was very dehydrated and malnourished, not to mention his tank was dirty and full of his unmentionables.
To add insult to injury, the sweet baby didn't even have a name!
We decided that he needed to come live with us and I'm glad we made that choice because he has been nothing but a joy since he arrived.
Buster is a snake I use to help educate people on why snakes aren't animals to blindly fear. He's cute, calm, and gentle, and his habit of poking his nose into peoples pockets just warms your heart, doesn't it?
These are some friendly turacos! All they want is blueberries and to make small talk.
Hello critter crew! I hope your week has been just peachy.
Here's an update on the animals I've spent time with this week.
Birds are so neat and I'm happy to take care of your flappy little friends!
Meet the residents monday
Name: Agatha Twisty
Species: Plains Hognose
Scientific name: Heterodon Nasicus
Somehow this little one scooted vertically up the decor in her tank and shimmied into this little area in in the roof of her enclosure!
Not to worry, I quickly came to the rescue and got her safely down.
Snakes often do goofy things like this in the name of exploration and curiosity and get themselves in weird predicaments.
Look at that little face!
A happy little tenant in her new digs.
Redid Ruth's tank and she spent a while exploring all the new nooks and crannies. This little friend is an absolute gem!
Business cards will be ordered soon!
Its time to take care of critters on a bigger scale.
I love taking care of my own animals and would love to help you care for yours!
I provide services for birds, reptiles, and amphibians primarily, but can also provide care for other uncommon pets.
I have found that quite a few people offer pet sitting for 4 legged furry friends, but not as many are open to caring for less "cuddly" pets.
Fortunately, the Lizard Wizard is here to fill that gap!
