Hero and our team would like to wish you a wonderful Happy Healthy Safe Travels this Holiday Season! We wish you the Merriest of Christmas’ and The Happiest of New Years as we are moving forward in this cold blast of weather.

Quick reminder as we drop into colder temperatures coats for smaller dogs (with no double coats) and listen to your body as well if your cold your dog might be too( smaller dogs with no fur will need to come in, than bigger dogs with double coats. ) I cannot be a bigger stickler for this next one WIPE WIPE WIPE those paws off when you come in from that walk! That salt and sand and whatever we have treated the ground is not the greatest for their paws!

We know it has been a while since we have posted as (I) the owner have been going through some health issues. At this moment, we have decided to take the winter off for personal health reasons. We however are still doing in home training that is inside and overnights and let outs that have been scheduled and put in place. We are still booking for vacations and mini get aways. We will continue grooming in the spring.

As we have been a bit MIA we wanted you to meet us formally.

Hi! My name is Joeana I am the owner and founder of Paws on You. Paws on You was created in a notebook one night after a reading a book and after two months of the passing of my late dog Daisy (not pictured but she has been featured in our photos from time to time) My dream was to become a trainer and that is what I did, I studied and graduated from Animal Behavior College and am a member of APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers) as well as a American Kennel Club Evaluator and Instructor.

I love what I do because I love dogs, I grew up with dogs, my grandfather in Maine had hunting dogs and in late November we would go up and I remember I would get up on a cot and lay with one of the dogs and the rest would follow and curl up around me. Since then I've been drawn to dogs. I do part time work for a non profit as well to better my training perspective, and to help those in need. I am always available to answer any training questions even if its something simple or something extensive I am always here and will find an answer or help finding a solution.

The dog you see below is our newest member as of 2021 his name is Hero. Hero is a Malionis Lab Mix and loves to play with all different dogs whats unique about him is that he can figure out what the play style of the other dog is and tone it to the other dog's style. He is also smart but anxious and is attached to me and can sense when I am about to have a migraine attack(nudges me or wakes me to get meds), panic attack( applies deep pressure therapy). He can also shut and open doors and is still working on more task work with his mom (but knows bells to go outside to go potty)

I appologise for the long post but I wanted you all to get to know me. Daisy was my heart she brought me here to be with your dogs to train to make your home a better place to exist, a better relationship built with your dog, a bond built thats so strong that lasts forever and a lifetime. That is what Daisy taught me and that is what I am here to bring to you.

Please be aware of this in your dogs I’ve had a friend of mine loose their dog to this! Its supposed to be super hot these next few days and humid. Keep those pups cool and make sure that they have plenty of water

Remember, dogs are wearing a fur coat and can only sweat from their paws.
