Why teach “HEEL”?

The HEEL command, or any of the related positions, can be very useful!
You will often hear dog trainers tell you to “give your dog a job” but what does that mean?
Giving your dog a very specific position to put there body in, gives them something to focus on. There are less options and therefore one “correct” answer for your dog to choose.
These exercises can also build dog/handler engagement and build confidence in your dog!

Millie's Misfits recently pulled this dog from the euthanasia list! She is a nine year old German Shepherd mix.
We are training her, getting her fully vetted, groomed, etc.
We could use some help financially to continue to save dogs like Wednesday!
Wednesday will be up for adoption soon.
The sooner we raise the money, the sooner we can get Wednesday adopted and save another dog!
