PSA: This week we experienced a well-known Doxie problem - a back injury that resulted in one of our babies really needing some extra love. We know the breed, we love the breed, and were well aware of the back issues dachshunds are prone too. We try to mitigate the risk, but these dogs just love to run and play and even as they age, they still like to act like wild animals.

We are VERY lucky as Vienna received immediate treatment and is on day 3 of recovery and walking quite well! It was scary, but we did a few things that really helped improve the outcomes and we feel inclined to share with everyone!

1. We got her to a vet to start medication to help with the inflammation around the spine/disc etc. The vet did test and the feeling in her toes and tail never left - this meant she had great odds of a recovery.
2. She got a comfy heat pad to lay on which really helped with the swelling and she was oh so COZY. I don't think she will want just a regular dog bed ever again.
3. We typically make our own dog food on top of some Purina, we added pumpkin (a great high fiber source) to the feed to keep things moving so she didn't strain or struggle

We made sure our daughters and 3 other pups acknowledged that she was on bed rest, and she was well loved and is wagging her tail and chasing cats again like nothing happened! We are VERY lucky - but we know that this problem is likely to occur again and is very common in the breed. We are sharing this information to shed light on our first experience with a back injury, and hope that no one else needs the information, but if so, we hope it helps and keeps your precious Doxie in the best condition possible!

PUpPIEs! 🐶

We DO NOT have any doxies but my parents did deliver 7 beautiful AKC English Springer Spaniels, mom is their dog and dad was a stud, they were just born yesterday and will be looking for homes in the coming weeks if you know anyone looking for one!

They will make for wonderful family dogs or hunters or both!

They will be ready for homes in a few weeks and I’ll post photos soon because we love puppies! 💓

Get to Know the Weenies!

Welcome to Our Page! We are so excited to have the chance to help families find the perfect Dachshund! Dachshund’s are not the perfect dog for everyone, so follow along our page to learn what these mischievous, long bodied doggies are up to!

We absolutely love our two Doxies and decided that we want a puppy from them to be in our family as well so breeding them just made sense! We are NOT a puppy mill, and will NOT be breeding our Dogs every chance we get. These two are our family, Willie our “firstborn” and we got Vienna the day we found out we were actually pregnant. We love these two so much and they are a part of our everyday lives!

Willie is 2 and a half years old and is a standard short hair black and tan male. His mother was a mini doxie and was a deep brown color, his dad was a real chunk named Rusty and had the coat to match it! We were hoping Willie would be more red but as he has grown his colors have sincerely changed. He loves to be next to you and has the bark of a dog 10000x his size. He is protective, but a lover when he gets to know you. He hates being separated from us, and loves to hang out the car window.

Vienna is our little sweetheart, she is a two year old long hair/wire-haired mixed dapple female. Her colors are SOOO UNIQUE! On the same day we brought her home I found out I was actually pregnant and instantly wanted to return her, due to how overwhelmed I was. Lucky for us, we didn't and she has became the perfect addition to our family. She LOVES to lick your face, cuddle and pick on her brother. She is the tough one, the curious one and the innocent one who always seems to get away with everything. Her family was a decorated pair of racing weenies who won MANY Trophies! Her dad was a blue eyed piebald wire-haired standard doxie and her mom a long haired black and tan doxie. Vienna's eyes are a deep green/blue and are often the first thing you recognize!
