Beagles make great family dogs - they have all the heart of a big dog inside a smaller body. They are scent hounds, so make sure they get lots of opportunity to sniff on walks and in the yard.

Different breeds have different characteristics beyond just how they look. Huskies and malamutes, for example, tend to be very vocal. And they LOVE to PULL! After just one lesson, she is well on her way to walking nicely on leash without pulling. And as always, electronic collars are NOT involved!

This boy's owners have already started teaching him basic commands, so we are building on that foundation to increase self-control and manners.

This is the type of dog I LOVE to work with. He is loved and well cared for, but his energy level makes him a handful. After just one lesson, he has learned to walk much nicer on leash, which will give him a good outlet for some of that energy. He responds well to praise and rewards, and I can't wait to see the difference a few weeks make.

Littermates can be challenging, but this boy and his sister get along really well. They are three years old (pandemic puppies) and they are eager to learn.

This sweet girl has learned to go to her crate on command and stay there while mom opens the door to visitors. She also walks politely on leash now.

This is the sister to Cotton, another great example of a Livestock Guardian Dog living her best life on the farm. We will be working on recall, stay, and leave it this week.

Livestock Guardian Dogs have great instincts for protecting sheep, goats, cattle. They don't always have great instincts for human things - like coming when called. Great Pyrenees tend to be intelligent dogs that respond well to positive reinforcement training. And they're SO FLUFFY!!!

This beautiful pittbull is learning to go to a designated "place" on command and stay there when guests enter the house. And as always we are mastering this WITHOUT the use of electronic collars. This three year old rescue was recently adopted and is excited to be in a permanent home. SO EXCITED he jumps on his owner and visitor and dashes through open doors onto the busy road. In our first three lessons he learned not to jump on people, to walk politely on leash, and to go to a designated spot and wait when visitors come to the door. A Parti Poodle is a Poodle with a coat featuring distinct patches of two or more colors on a predominantly white background. Poco is a black and white standard poodle, and he is as smart as they come!

Look at this little doll! He is so smart and such a sweetie - but lately he's started lunging at other dogs on leash. This is pretty typical behavior, but it rarely improves on it's own without training. It's always best to address problems like this early!

Crimson is struggling with separation anxiety and general stress, so in addition to obedience training I've developed a behavior plan to help her build confidence and learn to relax. I love that Pittie smile!
