Come join the fun!

We would love spring/summer working student to ad to our awesome team. Ideally 16yrs old and up , wanting to learn, get some extra riding/lessons, travel with us to groom at events (compete as well depending on student) .
Ideal person is fun, responsible , absolutely loves horses/eventing (or wants to get into eventing), would like to learn about handling/starting young horses as well as how a sales/eventing/training barn works.
Will exchange for board for the right person depending on hours etc.

What 👏 a 👏 day 👏 !! Aside from almost crippling humidity (well at least for my preggo self), the weather held out and everybody was all smiles after a great day at the VA Eventing Horse Trial and Combined Test at Oakdale Equestrian Center

Several ribbons were taken home and more importantly, lots of pets and 🥕🥕🥕 for the good boys and girls. Onward and upward!

~An ode to the horses that made you~

Something magical happens when you fall in love with a horse. It feels as though, suddenly, a piece of your soul exists outside of your body. This horse becomes a part of you, indefinitely tied together.

Heart horses are sent to us to provide us with the comfort of unconditional love, the lessons of patience, and the feeling of connection and deep gratitude. You feel like the luckiest human in the world to be graced with such a wonderful gift. Your horse feels the same.

The lessons he teaches you will often test your patience and your bravery. He’ll put things before you that ask you to look at parts of yourself you prefer to keep hidden from the world. But without fail, every time, he’ll love you even when you struggle to love yourself. He’ll stand behind you no matter what you’re facing so that you two can face it together. It’s an unspoken bond that transcends all other things. It’s something that only exists between horses and humans, this mystical partnership that defies all logic.

Something magical happens when you fall in love with a horse. And once you do, you’ll never go back to the way you were before.

Another fantastic day for eventing at the DRHPC HT and CT! So amazing to see many friends competing and huge congrats to Maggie, Isla, and Judy for a successful show! Isla and her pony Carmen got a 5th place finish (AT HER FIRST HORSE TRIAL) and Judy and her mare Sallie got the BLUE RIBBON 💙👏 to win their division. Such a wicked comeback for these two!

Welcome to KCEventing

KCEventing LLC is home to the CCI** three day event rider, Kaitlynn Gaskill (Chambers). Kaitlynn has over 25 years of riding experience including multi-discipline competition with a focus on producing young event horses and developing riders. She is schooled through the Intermediate level of eventing with top placings at CCI/CIC events as well as the consecutive Reserve Champion at the American Eventing Championships at the Preliminary level. Additional achievements include, Area IX Rider of the Year, Young Rider Sportsmanship Award, Blue Ribbon Award in eventing at the Preliminary level and has her Bronze and Silver medals in eventing at the Preliminary level.

Kaitlynn has had the opportunity to learn and work for many leading riders in the sport. She spent multiple winter seasons in Aiken, SC with 5* event rider, Jan Byyny, attended numerous clinics with Kim Severson, Hawley Bennett, Tim Bourke, etc., and most recently returned home from abroad after relocating to Tetbury, England to work for U.S. Olympic team rider, Clark Montgomery.
