I've been waiting for the results of the PawPrints testing for Honey to post, but they must be slow because they were expected July 23rd. Honey should be clear by parentage though, and Toby is all good. Pups will have a 26 month health guarantee. Breeding has taken place, and puppies are expected around September 24th. Toby and Cruise both got their HRC Seasoned titles this weekend. Toby also got a Finished pass (and isn't pictured with the right ribbon), but Ryan had someone else gather the ribbon for him. Stay tuned for pictures of Kuiu and Lily another day because I was encroaching on feeding time 😜

Edited because I had accidentally posted Gauge as Desi and left Desi's picture off completely. Kind of silly because they're both chocolate, but there's a HUGE size difference! LOL

I played with the puppies today. No pictures of Echo and Juno though because I was too busy watching them run around together🤷‍♀️

Many of the members of the American Pointing Labrador Association are gearing up for the 2024 Triple Crown event. Those of us who had dogs qualify are gathering pictures today for the brochure. I wanted to stop and take this moment to share some videos of 4XGMPR HR Carrol Creek's High Flyin Hero. Unfortunately, Tobi had an accident and is no longer with us. He was a very special boy (as you'll hear Ryan say in a couple of the videos), and I had organized some videos of him in a Google photo album back when I had a little more time on my hands. These are from May 2022 to July 2023. Our deepest condolences to his family - he was a good boy!

Ryan told me that if it was as hot today as they were saying, we were going to the beach. You can see how that turned out for me... I'll have to try to add the rest in a bit. I had to use his phone for some because mine started overheating. Also, we really are going to take a little break soon, so if you'd like to pick your dog up for a few days, get ahold of Ryan.

It was a big weekend for mama Bella and her pups. Bella qualified to run in the APLA Triple Crown. Her daughter Lily, from her 2021 litter, became a 4XGMPR and qualified for the Triple Crown. From her 2023 litter, Jack got an APR title and Scooter got a CPR title. Congratulations Chuck and Emily Frazier! Everyone else's dogs also were awesome, and I will try to share the results tomorrow. Great work Ryan Pasman and congratulations to you as well!

It was a big day at the American Pointing Labrador Association hunt test in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota. The highlights are that Black Beauty's Lady Lilith is now a 4XGMPR and Triple Crown Qualifier and Pasman's Beautiful Bella is now a Triple Crown Qualifier. All of the dogs that Ryan Pasman ran today passed their tests except my boy Trigger (he's a great guy but just can't seem to hold it together for tests). Congratulations Chuck and Emily Frazier and everyone. I'm sorry I never got around to posting the results of the last test, but I'll try to be better this time. Thanks for the videos Emily, Catherine, and Chad.

Happy Memorial Day! I made sure to take some videos because our lives are super busy, and it's hard to coordinate them now. It'll probably be a few weeks before I can get them again. Here's Kuiu, Wyatt, Harley, Trigger, Jack, Gauge, Duke, Juno, Echo, Ollie, Cruise, Bella, Lily, and Joe. Some of them are pieced together because I had to go load launchers, but Ryan said they all got a lot out of training today. Also, I apologize for any language you may hear, but I tried to minimize it. Enjoy!

I brought five dogs to get their hips and elbows checked today. All were great or excellent. One step closer to our next litter, which we're hoping will be a pairing between Honey and Toby ❤️

Edit: I got a little enthusiastic. What I really meant is all elbows are normal and hips are all either good or excellent.

I was going to reward myself for doing housework (and some work work) today by watching upland this evening. I only managed to get Splash before my son had to stop mowing and go to baseball practice. The options were for Ryan to stop training to mow or me mow while he trained so that the field he does drills in would be useable. So, here's Splash, and the rest I was only able to watch from the mower. Also, sorry, I didn't take ribbon pictures today.

It was my first time being the Secretary of a hunt test, and I had so much fun watching the dogs. We completed our first APLA hunt test of the 2024 Spring season yesterday.

Our boy Cruise came away from today as a 4X Grand Master Pointing Retriever, but I didn't get any pictures of that. Here's Kuiu and Catherine Burch after he earned his Master Pointing Retriever title and Lily and Emily Frazier after she earned her 2X Grand Master Pointing Retriever title (on her birthday). What a beautiful day, and we'll be back at it tomorrow.

I took Cruise to the Wings of Freedom fun trial at Haymarsh Hunt Club today to raise funds for their veteran hunt. Everyone thought he was such a sweetheart, and of course, he did great, despite the birds running wild. This was the only picture I took since I was actually supposed to be doing something this time. You can thank Catherine (😆) for no videos of your dogs training today, but we were supporting a great cause. I'll try to get some Monday.
