Please welcome Street Cat to Sweet Cat Violet. She was trapped on Wednesday morning and brought to the clinic for vetting. I had to make a quick decision weather to work with her or just have her TNR'ED(trap, neuter, returned). I am glad I was able to observe her behavior out on the streets prior to trapping.
One of her and one of him. Street Cat to Sweet Cat Eleanor and Socializer Griffin are doing the final walk through before lights out. Thank goodness they approved.
Street Cat to Sweet Cat Milton has been indoors just under 2 weeks. He is finishing up his dewormer before being screened for parasites. Then he will receive a second round of shots, snap test, and microchip. He will be looking for his forever home soon.
These 5 were dropped off at the clinic today for TNR. Sadly only 3 will be returning. FELV(feline leukemia) is deadly and highly contagious disease and spreads rapidly in feral colonies. I am making progress and only 2 potential infected cats remain.
Three of the trustees are lounging while James and Griffin sleep. Can you name them? The first person to correctly name all 3 will win 2 StreetCatstoSweetCatsRescue T-shirts

Days off are for trapping. TNR(trap, neuter, return) is the only humane option to controllingthe feral cat population. There aren't enough homes and even barns to save them all. WITH tNR and good colony management cats can still live a long healthy life on the streets.
