It was a long, long day for Street Cat to Sweet Cat Toeby. He was neutered, vaccinated, Snap tested for FIV/FELV, microchipped and f***l test run. He still has 1 more vaccination to receive, and he will be ready for adoption. Every adoptable cat gets the same basic vetting. Each adoptable cat costs a minimum of 300 dollars from start to finish. This does not include if they are found to be sick or with worms. Street Cats to Sweet Cats Rescue does not believe in putting any cat into foster homes without a basic check-up by a licensed vet. We occasionally check in on the rescue world, and it seems "responsible rescue" is a thing of the past. We will continue to do what is right for the cats and their adoptive families.

Every cat that crosses my path gets offered a meal. If it weren't for all the food donations, feeding and fixing would be a bigger challenge. Today is the second day of our feral food and supply drive. ( Link below and in profile)If I see them regularly, they earn their well-deserved ear-tip. This cutie showed up out of the blue. Maybe I will wake up an hour early and set traps tomorrow.

A cool brisk morning was a gentle reminder to start the Fall Feral Food and Supply Drive.

Every year, we try to gather enough food and supplies to last us until spring. We don't only care for the cats in the rescue space but about 40 TNR'ED(trapped, neutered, returned) Street Cats. We know times are tough, and prices are high, but one case of food or one tub of litter makes life a little easier for the cats in our care. Street Cats to Sweet Cats Rescue doesn't take the easy cases. We don't take the cute cuddly kittens that were born indoors. We prefer the feral, semi feral, stray, stray scared, and under socialized. Those are the ones that need a little help. As a boots on the ground rescuer, I see it all. This years food drive will run until October 15th. I will be collecting all Amazon gift tickets and picking at random a winner for a special custom gift. If you have it your heart to keep this dream alive, the link is below and in our bio.

Rainy Sundays are perfect for napping. Street Cat Clair seems to be missing a sexy ear-tip. Hopefully, I will trap her soon for TNR(trap,neuter,return). Colony management is very important to manage the numbers out on the streets. One female cat can produce up to 18 kittens in a year. Her babies can start having babies at 4 months old, causing a cat overpopulation in just 1 year.

Street Cat Buchanan is enjoying the mild weather. He knows winter is coming and has been watching his Papa freshen up all 6 hidden shelters on the property. Our motto is always " Out of sight, out of mind." We will make an exemption with this sweet old boy. He is approximately 17 yrs old and the longest resident.
