Yes cats. Cats are more natural swimmers than most dogs. Your housecat is a direct descendant of large jungle cats, who find much of they prey around shores and water holes. Once our cats get acquainted and used to the water they enjoy their exercise sessions. Note: Jonathan is wearing a denim jacket and divers gloves to protect himself from claws.

Did you know..... Hydrotherapy has many benefits. It can help to improve overall mental health in dogs by helping to reduce anxiety secondary to the weightlessness effects of the water, as well as the working aspect of the activity in general. Exercising in water also has the benefit of providing just the right amount of resistance, making it possible to strengthen and condition muscles, and build endurance, without placing stress on the dog's joints. For highly active dog breeds, recreational hydrotherapy is a great way to add in some physical conditioning that can help strengthen muscles in turn helping guard against muscle strain and injuries that these types of dogs are prone to.
