As I'm sure everyone knows, for the holidays, I always call upon everyone's favorite local treat dealer Big Jake's Dog Treats. They ALWAYS go above and beyond with their goodies and love to make things extra special when I have cute ideas for my Fur-Ever Friends. Well... here's one of the Valentines day treats! I called for my normal holiday treat order and told them about my idea for Valentines cards 💜 Becky being one of the most amazing women and best friends I could ever have, became super excited and wanted to really kick it up this round! She placed a special order for turkey hearts and put their brand new freeze drying machines to work! They turned out beyond awesome!! Oh and they did this in Big Jake's new little factory!! Due to the bitter cold, I've been forced to reschedule more appointments 😞 it is just unsafe for the pets and my team to be out in these temps. Not to mention, I cant travel any distance with water lines and tanks freezing despite the amount of insulation and protection against the weather I have in the trailer.

With that being said I will have to make some adjustments to the upcoming schedules. I am so sorry that so many have been affected between my illness, the snow storm, and now the bitter cold!

We've been working long hours trying to get caught up from my sickness and finishing up the last little bit of schedules for the year! I'm about 90% done with every clients yearly schedule. If you live outside of springfield/Rochester, your year is likely 100% complete! If you haven't received it from me yet, reach out and I'll get that to you! Springfield/Rochester should be done soon!!

I still have a few to get back on the books from over Christmas and new years illness but I promise I'm working on it 😊

In the meantime, we are having fun and getting love from our favorite Fur-Ever Friends 💜🩷🩵

Hey Fur-Ever Friends! I just wanted to touch base now that I'm FINALLY over all my sickness and the roads seem to be getting a bit more clear. I am still working on getting some appointments rescheduled for the time I had to take off over the holidays and the snow storm. With how behind I fell while I had influenza, there's a lot I have to do! But I promise I'm working diligently to get everything completed! I'm at the tail end of everyone's full years schedules as well! I'll send those out just as soon as they are done!

Along with getting the schedules taken care of, we are preparing for Valentines Day! Pics of couple of my most handsome Fur-Ever Friends because everyone needs to see how adorable they are!

Hey Fur-Ever Friends! I just wanted to reach out with a few things. This will be a long one so bare with me!

First, I want to sincerely apologize for everyone i have missed in this last week! I've been having some health issues and on top of that, have tested positive for influenza A. I sure hope everyone stays safe and healthy this holiday season! This flu has definitely knocked me for a loop!

Secondly, thanks to the most amazing support group a girl could have, the shelters receiving their Christmas treats and donations still happened without a hitch! Pics were few and far between but holidays are hectic and my personal elves had a lot going on themselves!

I hope to be back to good health and back to work soon. I just have to get over this flu bug and regain my strength.

I wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and I'm Fur-Ever grateful for all my amazing clients!

I have some big Thank yous to send out... Big Jake's Dog Treats for the amazing treats for my clients and the shelters. Becky of Big Jake's for picking up my meds and bringing me food. Natalie for being the best friend and personal assistant, delivering the treats to the shelters, coming to my contaminated home to care for my pack and myself, and ensuring I have what I need. June's Grooms for being my bestie above everything and calling to check on me and bringing me dinner. Hayleigh for working diligently on the hand painted ornaments for the clients we were able to get to and for all her hard work all year long! I could not have made it through this week, let alone this year without each and every one of you!

Rawhide should NEVER EVER be an option for a treat at any time of year. Especially when these companies make these massive rawhide "treats" for the holidays. Rawhide does not break down in the system as it should which can cause an obstruction. This is not food and does contain products that are not safe for consumption. Not only is that a risky procedure to remove the obstruction but also extremely painful and unpleasant for our Fur-Ever Friends. Not to mention, really expensive!

Better alternatives are natural bones which you can purchase from your local meat stores. Most carry animal grade bones that still have meat on them. You can also reach out to our favorite treat supplier Big Jake's Dog Treats for meat twists, pig ears, duck "paws", chicken "paws", and ask them about their new freeze dried treats coming soon!! If you're not sure what your doggo may like, ask Big Jake about their sample boxes! You'll get a little of everything for your fur-baby to try out! Don't forget they do doggie donuts and cakes for all the special occasions you want to celebrate! My pack LOVES getting doggy donuts for the holidays and everyone gets their own cake for birthdays and gotcha days. 🎄🐾💚❤️🎅

I made a post in the past few months about Mr Copper here. He's the Fur-Ever Friend who's made huge strides in his anxiety and fear when it comes to grooming. In that post, I explained how after over 2 yrs, I was finally able to dry him fully for the first time. But like many rescues, the next groom did not go as well. We had a tough day and our behavior reverted back. Unfortunately, this is very common. We could have many positive outcomes and one day, it feels as if all progress has been lost. But that's usually just a minor set back.
Well today, this handsome boy did absolutely amazing again! Yes, we had a couple moments when his crazy side came out, but he allowed me to get him fully dried, his face cleaned up better than I've ever been able to, and his legs clippered and scissored better than ever before. Not only does he absolutely LOATHE having his legs and paws touched, but he has a small wound from licking on one of his front legs. Not once did he try to eat me, but he allowed me to hold that paw and clipper and scissor it without negative reactions! I even got kisses AND he allowed me a brief moment of fun with the antlers! This must have been my Christmas gift from him and I couldn't have asked for anything better than him trusting me and showing his love!

We have a week left to collect donations for our local shelters! Animal Protective League, and Sangamon County Animal Control & Adoption Center have already received some of the donations but I have many more that will be dropped off just before Christmas! We can always come by and get anything you'd like to donate even if I won't be seeing your Fur-Ever Friends before then! Let's make this holiday season a little less RUFF for our local shelters pups!
