Pigpen
UPDATE: Pigpen is ADOPTED, but his sister Patty is still desperately needing her family to find her.
Look at this handsome pup he’s only six months old. He’s been in the rescue since he’s been six weeks old. He’s already potty trained. He knows his commands. He is fully vaccinated. He’s on heartworm preventative. We did all the hard work. All that’s left is for him to find someone that wants to love him as much as he’s going to love you. I could not give you a better puppy!! He’s perfect. He loves kids. He likes other dogs. He likes cats (if the cat likes him) He is the sweetest pup ever!!!! please if you’re interested fill out an application we would love to find this puppy a forever home. He’s so deserves it. ❤️🐾🐾

Pigpen
Calling all dog lovers, calling all dog lovers. My name is Pigpen and I am in the rescue for over 100 days. I really want to get out of here, not that my foster parents are bad but I want a family to finally call my own. I am neutered, up-to-date on my shots, and microchipped. I am playful, loving, and an all-around good boy. I know some commands. I’m potty trained. What more could you want? I don’t mind cats if your cats don’t mind me. I don’t mind other dogs just might take me a little bit to get used to it but I’m telling you please I won’t disappoint you. I just want you to love me as much as I will love you. I also love kids by the way they’re my favorite. If you’re looking to give me a great home, please fill out an application. I’m really really hoping to be adopted before Halloween.❤️🐾🎃
Mr. Brown
Look who's back!!! Mr. Brown is back with LPR. The adopters loved him, but he just could not adjust. He gave them the good old Chihuahua attitude! 🤪 He has been back with me for over a week and is settled and as happy as ever. He does love to give a growl now and again, but gets over it and moves on pretty quickly.
He is 6yrs old, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and ready to give this another college try.

Simpson
Lucky Paws Rescue would like to introduce you to our new friend, Simpson! 🐾💚
Some of you are aware of our recent adoption event hosted during Simpson Hardware & Sports’s Great Outdoors Expo, and it was an overall fantastic weekend full of amazing people who granted us a ton of support towards our cause of helping Sumter’s vulnerable animals. Also during this event, however, a Simpson employee redirected an individual to our booth. Greeted with a carrier so small that we were expecting a cat, we were introduced to the tiniest pitbull puppy that we have collectively seen in a while. We were told that the puppy was given to this individual and their family from a litter of 19, and that they could no longer keep Simpson due to their housing situation. We do not want to shame anyone who reaches out to our rescue in any capacity, and truly do appreciate this woman for surrendering Simpson to us. This little boy really needed some TLC that we were able to give him thanks to your donations.
He was underweight, cold, scared, covered in fleas so bad that you could see them crawling all over his skin in the sunlight and that my hand was layered with dried blood just from holding him. It was very likely that he had been taken from his mom too early, and though we were told that he was five weeks old, he may be closer to three to four at his time of arrival in our rescue. We were able to (with the help of our fosters) immediately get him to a foster home to be bathed, warmed up and comfortable. He has since seen a vet, been dewormed (and expressed some roundworms the length of his entire body), and given an overall relatively clean bill of health! Mr. Simpson weighs a whopping 2.1 lbs!
Some puppies in Sumter aren’t so lucky. Some are dumped on the side of roads to fend for themselves. Some get Parvo or Heartworms or complications from mom that were entirely preventable with the proper vaccines and care. Some are bred in “backyards” in bare minimum condition
