Darla is almost ready for her permanent home. From being left abandoned to being able to handle PetSmart socializing with little issues. She'd make a great addition to a dog loving home or as an only pet. While initially nervous upon first introduction she quickly shows off her GSD qualities. If you understand the breed and have patience for a younger dog, Darla is an excellent choice.
Meet Darla, an 1.5 year old beautiful female GSD. I've begun working with her and her foster on socializing and some quality of life things. While she is nervy and anxious due to her having no interaction until her current situation, she is dog neutral and very curious. With a little time she'd make an excellent addition to a great home.

Unexpected change of plans so some practice with the young malinois and goldendoodle is much needed.
The doorway is a source of so many problems. On the milder end you'll have barking, jumping or a mad dash for the exit like someone pulled the fire alarm. On the more severe end you'll have biting and fighting between dogs. Like with many other issues, the problem is impulse control. Dogs live by direct association. If an action gets them what they want they'll repeat it. Luckily the inverse is true as well. Nothing should come automatically if it's of value. You can prevent a ton of issues by not allowing them to think things just happen because they want it.
