Miss Julia teaching young Bru lead pressure. When a dog pulls on a collar or lead and we pull back, it doesn't teach them anything other than to pull harder and faster and that walking with us is uncomfortable and inhibiting. Applying lead pressure and encouraging the dog to back up to turn it off teaches them next to the handler is comfortable and rewarding.
