PTO extends our merriest of Christmas wishes to all of our teams, past and present, the facilities that we visit and the people we serve. We are abundantly blessed to work alongside some fantastic animals, and volunteer with some of the most gracious and giving people around.

Saturday teams did a little meet and greet at the opening of Winston and Friends and Sidekick! They even snuck in some time to pose for photos with the Grinch!

2025 Winter Training Schedule! These fun, relaxed classes are no cost and a great way to see if your dog is cut out for pet therapy. Please bring treats or your dog’s favorite toy, whichever they work best for, as well as a 6 foot leash. Please, no flexi leads.

A huge congratulations to Team Mark and Reed! Yesterday they made their 200th visit! A relatively new team, they finished their certification in November of 2023, they have been very busy and we are so fortunate to have them. Mark and Reed, thank you for serving your community!

Come visit us sometime on December 21st between 10am and 2pm. We will have a table inside Sidekick and would love to chat with you about pet therapy. Say hello to a few of our pet therapy dogs, grab a pic in front of Sidekicks photo op, and meet a special visitor that will be lurking about! He’s green and furry, and isn’t always a fan of Christmas. Stroll on down to Winston and Friends for some holiday shopping. It will be fun!

Eric and Ginger brought some holiday cheer to the patients and staff at Mercy Hospital this evening! Ginger made SO MANY people smile!

We have decided to cancel our participation in the Nixa Christmas parade today due to the risk of rain during the parade time. No one wants to pet a wet dog, and we want this experience to be fun for our members. We will try again next year! Thank you to those who volunteered!

(And yes, we realize that we probably just guaranteed that the weather will end up being perfect! 😉We just felt more responsible being on the safe side.)
