Dobby is a sweet 5ish year old Chihuahua that is down for cuddles or adventure. If any senior wants a chill dog but is worried about what will happen to him if they pass, Silicon Valley Pet Project will always take back our previously adopted pets!

The Last Battle

If it should be that I grow weak,
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
For this last battle cannot be won.
You will be sad, I understand;
Don't let your grief then stay your hand.

Your love for me must stand the test.
We've had so many happy years -
What is to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer so;

Take me where my needs they'll tend

Until my eyes no longer see.
I know in time that you will see
The kindness that you did for me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.

Who had this painful thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years -

Sweet words from Luno's mom, a young adult who literally grew up with her soul cat.

This year has been so devastating with his presumptive diagnosis, I was so scared a tragic ending would color our beautiful story together. You helped create a beautiful ending for our beautiful story and I thank you for that.

Words cannot describe how much easier you made the experience for me. Your words and guidance through the process provided me with peace and closure. When we had to euthanize my oldest dogs at the vet's office, I was a sobbing mess both times. Seeing how calm and comfortable my cat was though allowed me to focus on all the love I feel for him. As hard as it is to say goodbye, it genuinely could not have gone any better, and it was exactly what I wanted for my best friend of 18 years. Thank you so much.
