Want your business to be the top-listed Pet Store/pet Service?
We are the first Doberman Pinscher rescue in Palm Beach County, Florida. We are also the first animal rescue in the United States to employ homeless Veterans.
Palm Beach is the largest county in the southeastern United States and has a large shelter population which includes Dobermans and Doberman mixes. Every day dogs are at risk of being euthanized due to lack of space or because of expensive medical care that the shelter cannot provide. This includes owner surrenders, seniors, pregnant females, the abandoned, the abused, and the injured. We are committed to saving as many lives as possible, and our rescue efforts focus not only on this county, but surrounding counties as well.
The county’s homeless Veteran population is also substantial and continues to rise every day. Homeless Veterans served our country proud and we want to help honor their service by giving them a second chance. Many homeless Veterans have dogs that were previously living as unwanted strays on the street so we give them the opportunity to stay with their owners. By working in partnership with the VA Medical Center and several local homeless Veteran’s organizations, we provide chosen homeless Veterans with employment and then find affordable housing for them and their dogs.
Our mission is two-fold: 1) To provide shelter, care, love, and affection to homeless Dobermans of all ages and to adopt them out to loving homes; and 2) To provide employment to homeless Veterans with dogs so they can afford housing which will in turn get them off the street. We also promote animal and human welfare celebrating their bond through education, awareness, and community outreach. Learn more about what we do at www.pinschofhopedr.org.
