'Tis the season for doggy kennel cough but there's a new respiratory illness killing dogs of any age. Please think twice about boarding your pups this holiday season. Be overly cautious about dog parks and daycares. If your dog is showing any signs of illness do not bring them to the dog park, boarding, doggy daycare, or any other dog social setting. If your dog is showing signs of coughing, sneezing, vomiting, or diarrhea take them to the vet right away. Please share this with anyone who has dogs, especially those who plan to board through the holidays.

“We’re suspicious of possibly another virus or a resistant bacteria that is worsening our historical kennel cough complex,” Dr. Gina Kettig said.
