Job Title: Security Officer

Location(s): Seattle/Tacoma and surrounding areas

Hourly Pay Rate:
• Armed: $22-$25/hr
• Unarmed: $20-$21/hr

Shifts and Hours:
• Monday-Sunday
• Full-Time/Part-Time
• Morning/Evening shifts

Seattle Canine Detection is a small Veteran owned security services company. We specialize in the security and protection of our clients’ staff and assets wherever they are. SCD offers different schedules and diverse work assignments spanning multiple industries as well as offering our security officers career advancement opportunities. Seattle Canine Detection is looking to fill different security assignments for our clients.

General Qualifications and experience:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Must have reliable form of transportation
• Must be able to pass WA security guard armed/unarmed licensing requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass background check

PREFERRED but NOT NEEDED:
• Current or prior military service members and LEOs.
• Active Armed Guard card (preferred but not needed)
• Active Unarmed Guard Card (preferred but not needed)

What a great weeks it’s been! Aside from his personality, Jav is not the same dog I dropped off! My mind is blown away just seeing how far he’s come! Thank you CCU for all the work and dedication you put into you training! I’m beyond grateful! Hands down one of the best K9 schools out there! 💯

Hello everyone! Meet Hulk! I was contacted not to long ago as his final option to see if I can turn him into a solid working K9. Due to his past and where he came from I immediately accepted the challenge! I was told he was aggressive and wasn’t overly fond of humans due to trust issues. After spending some time with Hulk, I was able to see that his aggressive behavior wasn’t truly aggression but fear driven reactivity. Once I was able to gain his trust. I realized this boy was miraculous and lives to please. He’s such a good boy and deserves a second chance at life! I was astonished by how quickly he’s picked up on his training! This boy lives to work! Our goal is to donate him to a good handler willing to take him on and to accept his past while giving him the love and care this amazing pup deserves! I’ll be posting more videos of his progress as we go, and hopefully we can find this boy his forever home! His past broke my heart, but his drive, dedication, and determination have given me hope for his future!

It’s so great seeing the progress in obedience training from pups Poppy and branch! has been doing great keeping up on their training throughout the week! We have been working the heel and stay! What an improvement in just one week!

Watching Richard Jewell, for those who don’t was a hero in the 1996 Olympics Atlanta bombing. He discovered the explosives and reported saving many lives but was destroyed by the powers in our country, The Media and our government. He was deemed the the bomber and declared a terrorist. What this movie showed me is that complacency kills. Not sure how accurate it was with the law enforcement but I can definitely speak on it. They were told by Richard that there was a suspicious package. They did not believe him nor did they follow protocol. Their complacency injured MANY civilians. I see so much of it in the Industry of K9 detection. No protocols set for finding suspicious or left alone packages. No coms. Lack of training. K9 schools putting out dogs that don’t work all to make a quick buck. This movie is a prime example of what NOT to do and what we in the industry can do better.

Or second attempt at Unknown tracking! Our first time was all sorts of messed up! But we pushed forward, worked as a team and got through this second attempt! It was only uphill from there!

Today was the day I graduated from Custom Canine Unlimited! Graduated as K-9 team with this bad boy! Everyone meet K-9 Copper! Narcotics detection and tracking! The newest and first addition to SCDs Narcotics unit. This chocolate lab is a BEAST! Both at Narcotics detection and tracking! Custom canine unlimited truly produces tier 1 dogs! Thank you for everything!

Finishing my second week at Custom Canine Unlimited! What a great course it’s been so far! The depth of their training and classes is mind blowing! Learning so much and meeting great people and life long brothers. It’s earned here never given. They’ll make sure you have the right tools and knowledge to hit the streets in confidence! Let’s go Bravo Team!

Always creating new ways to train! A good number of trained dogs out there won’t pick up on moving odors. They are mainly trained to pick up on stationary odors! V***r Wake is a great training tool!

Working on wall today. The goal is to get him as close to the odor as possible.Sometimes you gotta let the dog figure it out himself! Jav did great!
