Be very careful. Check out the rescues that you adopt from and send to. This gives other rescues a bad wrap. You can check out a rescues license and non profit status and if they try to hide their info, how many dogs they have, etc. RUN. There are sick people who think they are helping when they are actually making it worse. Do your research.

Holden is currently our longest stay kiddo and has been with us for 252 DAYS. Holden is a mixed breed and is full grown. Unfortunately for him he has grown up pretty much his entire life here with us. Even though we do everything we can to make them feel at home, the reality is, he’s been living in a dog run/kennel for that long. He needs help with training in all aspects. He is a timid dude and will need time to adjust to a new home. He loves other dogs and would do best with another dog in the house. He is a very sweet dude once he is comfortable with you and will follow you around like a shadow. He really deserves to be in a home just as much as everyone else. Holden is fully vetted. His adoption fee has been sponsored, so he can go home with an approved application. Please share to help Holden.

I groomed this adorable pup and his equally adorable brother last night. These are true mini Aussiedoodle. Mama and daddy both “toy” size. Their new mama helped keep them calm since it was their first time getting their hair clipped. 💕

This beautiful girl is somehow still available. I believe we’ve only had 1 app in on her in the few months we’ve had her. Kona is a very happy, friendly, funny girl. She is a purebred husky, but is a bit on the smaller size and only about 35-40 lbs. she gets along great with other dogs, but can sometimes play rough. She would Do best with no cats. She does good with kids once she is comfortable with them. She can be slightly cautious of strangers when first meeting. But she cracks me up everyday, she’s a total goofball and would make a great addition to any household. Send us a message for more info!

I need to share this. I know dogs get matted, it happens and small mats aren’t bad, but when you take your dog into the groomer full of them imagine the discomfort and time they have to sit through. Not to mention how horrible the groomer feels having to put them through that. I refuse to do that anymore. (I’m talking like the photo). If you can’t get that out without being bitten how do you expect a groomer to? Please, if you have a dog with hair you want kept longer brush them once a week if not more. Do it because you want them AND your groomer to have a great spa day! 💕Just be kind to both and shave your dog and start fresh.

I groomed a Mini Schnauzer today that was 4 mo old. His first groom and he did really well!!! At this age getting them used to the clipper around his face and ears is important so we focus on that. He is flipping adorable! Before (he did not want me take his picture) and after.

First Wheaten I have groomed! It was also this guy’s first time ever being groomed! We both did fine I think! Puppies are like cutting a 2 yr old hair but they don’t know what “sit still” means. This guy did pretty good!

A little tip for what it’s worth.....
If your dogs are outside with you and are getting eaten up by flies, try giving them a bath in all natural flea\tick shampoo with essential oils without using a conditioner or doggy perfume. Then spray some all natural essential oil bug spray on your hands and spread it on legs, and all over their body without getting carried away. You can always apply more later. This helps control the flies and others annoying insects for a while and sure helps my dogs when we are outside! Make sure you buy quality shampoo and bug spray and it is all natural with essential oils! Hope this helps!

I love grooming!! It’s my therapy and often like creating a piece of art that won’t hold still and doesn’t understand the English language. A new client today, a 14 Shih Tzu named Minnie. She had some food saved in her beard and wasn’t happy with me removing it but after she realized I was done taking her food she was all good! She is a sweetie but would not look at me so I could take her picture! Before and after.
