Rascal's Foster-to-Adopt mom here with an update on our sweet boy. We went to the vet for our four-month post heartworm treatment appointment and were sad to learn he is still testing heartworm positive. Of additional concern is that Rascal had an episode of Syncope a few days before the appointment (he collapsed and passed out while he was walking). This is usually heart-related, and most likely due to complications from the heartworm. Rascal will need a full cardio work-up to determine the extent of his heart damage and next steps in treatment. We are optimistic that with proper care he will go on to live the happy full life he deserves.

Anyone who has spent time with Rascal knows just what a special sweet soul he is. In the 2 1/2 months he's been with us we've fallen completely in love with him. We're committed to working with BRBTC to get him fully healthy.

My foster mom sent my bed with me to my new home and it is one of my favorite places to nap. But sometimes I’m so tired I don’t quite make it in, either way I love a good nap.

Foster mom here: I am going to vent a second, Rascal said I can do this from time to time. I am going to post these pictures in awareness. I don't know how people can think this is acceptable dog ownership. This is from Rascal's day 1 intake to now. Don't own a dog if you can't take proper care of it😡also don't tie your dog up, look at picture on left, his neck looks like a rope or wire scar.
P.S Rascal has had a awesome support team🥰
